What an incredible and imaginative nonfiction book ! Solstice focuses on the longest/shortest day on Earth and how it is celebrated around the world. Fourteen fictional children share their cultures and beliefs, focusing on music, dance, food or language. This picture book is truly interesting, and so beautiful !
Young dragon lovers will love this extraordinary tale about courage, determination and the power to stay true to ourselves despite the circumstances.
Strong is an inspiring story with beautiful illustrations. I loved the sweet atmosphere and the strong will of the main character. It is a great read to remind young ones how special they are.
A metaphorically rich and reflective tale of sisterhood and strength, The Wisdom of the Willow is a story of hope and healing, of the choices that shape our lives, and the challenges we all face as we seek to find our places in the world.

How to win an information war : the propagandist who outwitted Hitler
by Peter Pomerantsev
a kind of #biography of Sefton Delmer, the Berlin-born British counter-propaganda expert who ran several successful anti-Nazi stations brodcasting into ww2 Germany.
Pomerantsev is an expert on contemporary propaganda, and parallels Nazi propaganda with that produced by Russia to justify its atrocities.
Contestant: "I have a massive #book collection in my library at home. I have... a good two hundred #books in my collection."
I'm not one to yuck someone's yum nor consider such things a competitive sport but, mate, that's just two of my shelves... after "massive" I was hoping to hear at least 4-5X that.
So recently i had some time to play again with #bookbinding, tried to make couple of notebooks, one using some decorated paper i bought at a #crafting store, and the other one based on my #osdev_notes#book project, i call it the "Osdev Notebook", it's still in a drafting stage, but the idea is nice (i have designed the inner pages too).
I've posted it on my ko-fi page too: https://ko-fi.com/post/Some-homemade-notebooks-R6R8XQZG3 (don't worry i use it as my blog, so nothing to pay). #art#handmade
