"Everyday I'm Mörderin, Everyday I'm Mörderin..."

Massive nerd that I am, it's only proper that I plug something I've backed.

The legendary has a doing rather well at the moment, but can it make £75,000 before Wednesday?

New: Laura R. Samotin's queer grimdark fantasy The Sins on Their Bones.

Set in a Jewish folklore-inspired reimagining of 19th century Eastern Europe, this queer dark fantasy debut pits two estranged husbands and a daring spymaster on opposite sides of a civil war. Perfect for fans of Leigh ...

The latest episode of my free grimdark fantasy serial can now be read on my blog. In ‘Prize Fighter’ the company’s second-in-command is attempting to assess a new recruit, but his efforts are hampered by an impromptu wrestling match.

Secret Keeper

The Secret Keeper is always in hiding, function as form: to keep its secret, it must draw the Seeker, and then withdraw in turn. It must become a Secret keeping itself.

Not my favorite recent piece… I have one I like better in black ink. I’ll post that one in a couple days.

I reviewed The Doom of Odin by Scott Oden for Grimdark Magazine! Grimnir, the last surviving orc, gets the epic send-off he deserves.

(As always, boosts are appreciated!)

Formerly from Seattle, I’ve lived in Japan since mid-2001. I work in the mobile gaming industry, mainly localization and licensing.

My book reviews have appeared in New Edge Sword & Sorcery Magazine, Grimdark Magazine, etc. I'm particularly fond of sword & sorcery, pulp fiction, historical fiction, and horror.

I reviewed Twilight of the Gods by Scott Oden for Grimdark Magazine! This is the second book in the dark historical fantasy Grimnir Saga, about the last living orc in medieval Scandinavia. Book 3 arrives later this month!

Q1 — Are any of your stories set in outer space? If so, where?

So many of them are. I've had a lot of stories published in various books and magazines. I love to write timey-wimey stuff wibbling and wobbling.

I'll include a screenshotted description of both of my original WIP novels that are set somewhere in space.

This story, however, is my favorite that I've written as of late. It's a Doctor Who standalone (AKA oneshot).

Read it here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/49313608

floofpaldi,

#Writephant Q3 — Have shows, movies, or books set in space influenced your writing?

My favorite shows or films:
Doctor Who
Battlestar Galactica
Stargate SG-1
Star Wars
Star Trek
Altered Carbon
The Fifth Element
Love Death + Robots

I love #cyberpunk, #hopepunk, #grimdark, and #biopunk stuff as well, but that's delving into a whole other genre, apart from sci-fi.

Sc-fi has always been a favorite genre of mine and I adore both watching and reading it. There are too many novels to list.

This is specifically for my German friends of grimdark fantasy:

Amazon DE is having a glitch, and The Warrior, Book 1 of The Memorian Prophesies is still up for grabs for FREE.

I have no idea how long it'll take them to fix it, but the normal price is 2.99.

So jump over and grab the first book of a stunning, complicated and dark series. (I have been proofreading it, so I know what I'm talking about.) Do it now!

This is a find-your-people post for TTRPG folk.

Please respond by saying what sorts of TTRPG things you're pretty likely to either talk about or respond to if you see them.

This can be a list of games (D&D! Tribe 8! Fate!) or categories (the weirdest of indie stuff! NSR! Anything PBtA!), topics (Worldbuilding! Publishing!), stuff you're making, meta-commentary (The State Of The Industry), and so on.

Then maybe share, and if the replies are building up, check them for new people.

29/6 how would you feel if your book got banned?

Considering the kind of people who generally want to have books banned, I'd feel accomplished. That only means I've succeeded in ruffling the feathers of those who needed their feathers ruffled.
