There are few things in the world as green as newly unfurled beech leaves in Spring. This was the scene I found myself immersed in at Dawsholm Park in the West of Glasgow during yesterday's morning dog walk.
To-day, when we were heading to the #DogWalk we went down the ploughed & salted glen road. It was easier to walk there than the deep snow on the verges.
As we were walking down, a large 4x4 tooted at us to get out of the way.
5 mins later, we caught up with the 4x4. It was stuck in the snow on the first uphill section. I offered them my "husky" to pull them up.
Later, we found the 4x4 abandoned at the bottom of the hill.
If you are looking for nice place for a #DogWalk, in the south of Edinburgh, I can heartily recommend Gore Glen Woodland Park. It is just south of Newtongrange. and not far from the City Bypass.
Today's dog walk was a rather wet, but colourful affair along the banks of the White Cart Water as it flows through Linn Park on the Southside of Glasgow
Pup walks are much earlier now that sunset is at 4:43pm!! We are towards the end of the fall colours and snow was falling before we left for the walk. Winter is coming but for now we enjoy the swish, swish, swish of leaves on our walks.
A beautiful Sunday. Second long run of the weekend, kept it easy after yesterday's interval long run. Stunning skies for the pup walk. Yoga practice 1000/1000 this evening. A moment of celebration for a goal reached - a thousand yoga practices.
After a cloudy, chilly run, the skies opened up during the pup walk around the pond.
Not what the woods should sound like here at 1am on October 29. I should not be walking the dog in flip-flops, a tee shirt and shorts tonight — I should not be able to. It has been an exceptionally warm week for this time of year. As pleasant as it may seem — "nice out" — it's not a good thing. We're starting November with plenty of ticks and mosquitoes still around. Yesterday's high temperature was ~20°F above the average daily high. #crickets#DogWalk#ClimateChange#ClimateDiary
Usually my dog does her best to ignore whatever I'm photographing, but every now and then she gets as captivated as I do. In this case, I think it was the walruses that did it!
For those who don't know, this is the Sun Foundry's 1868 Grand Fountain in Paisley. I'll post some proper pictures of it tomorrow.
