#FanFiction#fanfic random question to fic writers: which characters (or types of characters) are your favourite to write when it comes to POVs? (The narrator voice sense, not the first-person/second/third person sense). And do those characters also overlap with your favourite characters in general point blank?
I don't know what is that's been making me review my older works/ideas/WIPs lately instead actually working on the new ideas that I have but guess what? I just wrote and posted a sequel to my first ever #Mirandy fic that only came to be thanks to a conversation that I witnessed on my TL between @reginasbread and @shippychaos about Miranda sitting (or rather not sitting) at Andy's desk 😆
The fastest way to get me to put a book or story down is to over use exclamation points! I hate it! Don't do it! If every sentence you write ends with a bang, then there is no impact there!
I have one of those for me, quietly vulnerable questions.
How deep do you need to be in a fandom in order to write fanfiction? Could it just be enough that you saw a movie, loved the characters, hated the ending, and want to give them the story that they deserve? What about for shows or books? What if you are a fanfic newbie? #Fanfiction
Corporate America continues to tighten the screws on content creators. The company that owns Dungeons & Dragons was reported in a leak to have proposed that all campaigns designed by dungeon masters would now intellectually belong to the company. Since the original post, the company has eased some of these positions.
In the end... shouldn't our fan campaigns be ours? Our fan fiction? Our toots or tweets?
Someone asked how acceptable it was for the MC to have sex with someone that wasn't their end-game romantic partner.
I remembered this question and thought it was funny. The new book I have been asked to beta starts out with MC x Side character sex. Didn't bother me a bit.
For those unaware, I'm writing a collection of Marvel fanfics all set in its own universe structured with a beginning, middle, and end.
It's basically an excuse to put everything I love about Marvel, with none of the stuff I dislike, and some headcanons thrown in, into one self-contained story that doesn't drag on for sixty years not going anywhere.
In the spirit of classes voting students "most likely to ___", and LXC having already been voted most handsome AND most likely to succeed, I thought, what if there was a Summer Lecture trope version of this?
The kids at summer school all voted, and while it wasn't unanimous...

Full image of Uruma Satsuki as a shinagami causing havoc in the Shomaru tunnel. (Point of Interests is that you can see early influence of Tuskishiro Himari entering my life.)
Did you know? Mickey Mouse will FINALLY enter the public domain next month! This is something that has been delayed several times as the Disney corporation successfully rewrote US copyright law to give themselves more time. But the wait is finally over. You will legally be able to write a fanfiction where Mickey Mouse is gay in January.
I've seen a lot of people talking about Dreamwidth, and as it always is when I see enough people talking about something, I finally have to check it out. I've now got a very basic idea of what it is, but tell me this, is there much #fanfiction published there?
I'm debating. I'm writing a scene that takes place after the credits of Phantom Liberty. Valerie is giving someone the rundown of the events from the DLC. Would you write it out? Or do a "She sat down and told them about her last week, everything from [starting point] to [the events of tonight]. When she finished..." summary?
The first option would be better for people who read it (for whatever reason) that haven't placed PL, I guess. 🤔
Just an average Starfleet vessel completely crewed by small animals. Between shifts they visit a communal holodeck village. Nothing serious ever happens.
Until it does and Commander Nook needs to request a crewmember replacement. And the replacement's a Human.
Well, you'd think #AI and #generativeAI like #DALL·E wouldn't be a problem for #fanfiction and #fanart, where you can't own the IP or sell it, but you'd be wrong. People posing as fan artists and LoRa's and artist style stealing are all in the article. The fandom is #MLP. There are links to other related issues.

[Meta] is anyone subbed here from the Character Forge subreddit? Either way, Why did you join Character Forge here on Kbin?
Just curious! I didn't post often there but I did post so I'm wondering who else came from that Reddit!...
