I keep coming across abandoned footwear in public places. The pair of what look like perfectly good boots which I found today in #Elgin seems particularly odd.
A loafer is essentially a slip-on shoe with a moccasin-like upper (top + sides), a separate, rigid sole (leather or, in some cases, rubber), and a heel. But there's a whole lot more to it than that.
It seems, my trekking shoes are going for their end of life 😭
It's the second time that they crack at this spot. Luckily Salewa offers a 3 year extended warranty. Unfortunately I didn't register them for this warranty, so that it is of no help for me 😢
I used them for about 3+ years now. So they definitely did some duty. Yet it still bugs me that the material is cracking there. The rest of the shoes is great.
