I think the looming reality of multiple shows coming up sent me into a mental tailspin, and I got stuck there for a solid week. Now I NEED to get a couple pieces finished so I can get applications in for the shows in question…

Watercolor octopus. Have you ever watched the Netflix movie "My Octopus Teacher?" If not, I strongly encourage you to do so. Such a beautiful portrait of man and octopus becoming friends. I'll warn you though, you may cry at the end.

I wonder if any of the brilliant artists here on .art or elsewhere have either their own or recommendations for a #tutorial or a complete #course on painting. My own current interest is in #acrylic painting, but in the long term I'm interested in #oilpainting and #watercolor too.
Finished “Watercolor with Markers” by Jessica Mack just in time for #MerMay! I love this plant, it might be my favorite of my paintings from the whole book. (I think her version of the cactus I painted yesterday is my favorite of her paintings from the book, in case you were wondering.) Her book is great, I highly recommend seeing if your library has a copy! #NotSponsored

Feuerwanzen trifft man momentan häufig in der freien Natur. Diesen Gesellen entdeckte ich tot in meinem Garten. Ich betrachtete ihn genau und stellte Unter- und Oberseite in Aquarellfarben dar. Feuerwanzen sind übrigens keine Schädlinge, sehen aber wunderschön aus!
