Es brauchte nur zwei in der KiTa vorgelesene Geschichten, damit eines meiner Kinder eine Angst vor Wölfen entwickelte. In Kommentaren zu vermeintlichen Wolfsangriffen lese ich auch noch bei Erwachsenen die selbe Angst heraus. 😳

Schon vor der Weidesaison hatte ich ein mulmiges Gefühl. Vor drei Tagen hab ich erfahren, dass seit Anfang Jahr 5 Wölfe von Süden her ins Kulturland kommen, eine Wildkamera auslösen, 100m unter unserem Haus durch queren, bis zur Strasse weitergehen, drehen und 15 minuten später nochmals ein Selfie machen und wieder in die Wildnis verschwinden. Alle 2 Wochen sind sie da.
Ein erwachsenes Weibchen, ein Rüde, und drei Jungtiere vom letzten Jahr.

In 2015 the first wolf entered the Netherlands. For more than a hundred years there were no wolves due to hunting them all down. But in 2019 the first cubs were born here and since then we’ve had multiple packs staying and growing.
Wildlife is rebalancing, not just other animals, but also plant life.
