quit drinking about 10 years ago but I do buy 2 items without looking at the price tag. Brandy and Jager ... because both are medications. At least that's what I tell myself. LOL

I just found out that "Geddy Lee" from Rush's real name is "Garry" but his mother had such a thick accent that it always sounded like "Geddy" so that's what his friends called him.

I considered myself a Rush fan, and I didn't even know this.

His grandmother was on of twins and they owned a convenience store in old downtown Newmarket Ont for decades. She/they proudly displayed ALL her grandchildren's pictures in the tiny office that could be seen from the counter but she refused to talk about Geddy as any more important than the rest. Lovely ladies, both friendly and feisty when it was called for.

I couldn't maintain the intermittent fast today, fluffy coffee goodness got me through breakfast but I cracked and just ate lunch, didn't make it until evening after workout like I planned.

I find it tricky being hungry when I'm having a down day.

Oh well always tomorrow. However I do have a nagging suspicion that maybe intermittent fasting isn't for me, but some days I do ok with it.

Try shifting the time on days you workout. Or if workout daily, shift the time to fit it around it.
Years ago when did it, I would shift the time according to my work hours and the fact I perfer to eat later in the day.

Mine is an odd one.
After watching tons of videos of people searching shoreline for treasures and they would be so excited to find a marble.
So I started to randomly leave marbles where people can find them. On fence posts, ledges, etc. If I'm lucky, I get to see a stranger find one and watch how excited they get. And holy, do they get excited! It amazes me that a grown man will hoist the little globe of glass in the air and declare, "Hey, I found a marble!"

Tonight's experiment...

Load of veg and very little else in the house (apart from some leftovers from yesterdays roast). I have therefore made (once again) lasagne. Probably had this a bit too often at the moment, but it's easy and contains good stuff that the kids will otherwise not eat. However I am going to attempt to get away with making the bechamel out of yesterday's cauliflower cheese. I used the green bits aswell, so I've whizzed it into a small new batch with some pesto I just made up, so am hoping to get away with it...

Mwah ah aaaah - take those vegetables, children! Call me Mr Vegetable! The most evil of all the supervillains.

Was at friends for dinner and she pulled me aside and whispered, "I've told the kids cauliflower is 'just for adults' food but I'll LET them eat it because they've been good."

I can just see the kids future therapist trying not to laugh when this melodrama comes out. "And when you found out everyone could cauliflower, how did that make you feel?"

You want to get your budget under control, ask a disabled person to look at your spending habits.

There's an issue with UBI. If disabled persons are included, if their medications and benefits are no longer covered, some will not be better off. A relative takes several medications totally over $1300/month, they would end up with less money and that doesn't included eye exams, glasses, or dental etc.
Sometime a golden goose is just painted pigeon with plastic lips.

One of the thing I’ve learned about the consequences of bullying is that when people tell you things like “I’m pretty bad at math” or “computers aren’t for me” or “I don’t really get art or fashion” and you talk to them for a bit what you often find - not always, but often - what that really means is “somebody treated me like shit for trying to like this when I was 9.”

I wish you would have been my high school math teacher. Ours published a few math theory papers so he figured we should all know what we were doing since it wasn't complicated like his math theory. From grade 9 on, I was completely lost.
