Just sent a #GothicHorror story to a magazine I really like. I hope they buy it! I've got 3 poems and several other stories and pitches out in the aether, looking for homes. This weekend in Savannah I was able to get quite a bit of #coffeehouse #writing done on another work-in-progress, a #horror story that is turning out to be darker than I originally anticipated. Both of them stared at the dot, then they looked back at my hand that was holding the pointer, then back at the dot. Then they both jumped at me. Guy the #Murdercat bit my hand, causing me to drop the pointer, and his brother Leonidas grabbed the pointer and ran away with it.

This is me, talking about how the version of “Maurice” by #EMForster that #DHLawrence read (and from which he borrowed several major plot points for his novel “Lady Chatterley’s Lover”) is not the final version of #Maurice that we have today (and even that is not the final version, because Forster wrote an epilogue that he later excluded where Maurice and Alec run off and become lumberjacks together, proving that even stuffy academics in the #Edwardian era had lumberjack fantasies).
