There was a poll that stated—Rowling’s opening line in the HP series is one of best in the world. Someone posted about how there are a bunch of other opening statements that are better.

Here’s one of my personal favorites, from Gabriel Garcia Marquez (in English):
“It is inevitable — the scent of bitter almonds always reminded him of the fate of unrequited love.”

So, a co-worker has a cold today.

Got me thinking. I honestly thought having a pandemic will finally stop people from showing up sick at work. But it doesn’t.

I used to be one of those who will suck up any illness and continue work, seeing patients, even without a mask 🫢😧.

But Covid changed my perspective on this. If we can, we shouldn’t work when we’re sick. It shouldn’t be a radical idea.

Since 2022, I watched at least one concert every year. But I have never gotten any infection from these concerts because I always wear a respirator. Majority of these events are done outdoor too.

Note: You can enjoy concerts even when wearing masks. 😊
