Everything I predicted has come true, someone from the NY AGs office just made a statement.
What WE can do to keep it going is to keep pushing Democrats to promote this verdict and talk about "CONVICTED FELON DONALD TRUMP"
Not just "kitchen table issues."
(But frankly, the justice system working IS a kitchen table issue in our house.)

@MsMissy @GottaLaff I heard yesterday on the news that in the state of New York, a convicted felon can vote in the election as long as they’re not currently in prison, and in Florida, they match the law for wherever the person was convicted. That makes me a little bit sad.

The entire journalism industry adopted the "hush money trial" framing, thereby downplaying Trump's corruption -- financial fraud aimed at tampering with an election -- to something that the Trump cult has used to convince itself that it could all be discounted.

He will read pages 6-35.

Each page yesterday took him just a little more than a minute, so this will take >30 mins.

Between that & the testimony readbacks, also expected to take >30 mins, there will likely be >1 hour this morning w/the jury in the courtroom, not actively deliberating.

Best part is there’s no federal pardon so Biden can sit there and enjoy this one to the fullest extent of the law.

@GottaLaff I don't think he's a flight risk, despite the fact that he owns an airplane. If he high-tails it for Moscow, that would destroy his chances of being elected President, and I think that's more important to him than avoiding whatever Merchan is going to sentence him to.

Is Trump currently still under a gag order not to speak about the trial, since sentencing hasn't happened yet? Or has that been lifted.

@Lana Judge Merchan must lift the order, which he will probably do, because the rationale for limiting the defendant’s speech was his ability to intimidate witnesses and the jury, to wrongfully influence the verdict. Verdict’s in so the main ground for the order no longer holds. @GottaLaff @Nonilex

Just want to add my thanks for the wonderful, and much appreciated, job you’ve done covering this historic trial. It would’ve been a monumental task under the best of circumstances. But you did it while managing a move from SoCal to Vancouver!

Now, take some time setting up your new home. Put your feet up and shut your eyes for a while and recharge. Then, if you’re anything like me, head over to the beach, dig some clams and have a nice dinner of linguine con vongole.
