Finished up Tomb Raider ('13) last night... I don't know... The whole braiding Toms thing seemed really secondary. Those little puzzle platform sections worked really well, but mostly it felt like another get to the next marker sort of game. Last third was heavy on set pieces and enemy corridors.

Maybe it's because I've been playing the original, but I kinda wanted more of that quiet puzzle platforming...

... puzzle box level design of the 90's is underappreciated

@Hundstrasse It's a trend I've seen over the years where a lot of action games and genres that used to have a hefty amount of puzzles started to phase them out but by bit or simplifying them to the point of uselessness, it's sad really, I enjoyed them too, they helped to break the gameplay and gave time to rest your hands and nerves until the next encounter
