So Canada adds $36m to a 'vaccine injury fund' (with little justification, medically) but zilch for the millions with Long Covid and hidden damage that will emerge years from now - all the Health workers, first responders, teachers, retail forced to work in unmasked, unventilated spaces

@blogdiva hoping to expose this soon, Uni of British Columbia is apparently actively suppressing faculty, the student union, anti-war groups on campus from even expressing their own views on their own personal SoMe accounts - threatening potential disciplinary actions

We saw Admins lose the plot over Covid, and they have completely abrogated their duties of inclusion and academic freedom over campus Gaza protests

It's truly mind blowing - all this does is create a win for the fascists

'Woke' is empathy, originated from the Black community for calling out blatant racism - it resulted in voting rights, education inclusion, health rights

@msquebanh they're all shit, but Shaw/Rogers still has decent customer service - Telus just constantly fucks you around, and if you don't have a dedicated neighbourhood line already the speeds are really low as they piggyback off Rogers - then they bait/switch with a low sign up, hit you with a massive increase a year later - they're awful

Plus, I am NOT supporting a corporation that is actively trying to get health care privatized

east coast of Taiwan is a sharp mountain drop to an alluvial plain, so liquefaction played a role in building collapses

difference is Taiwan has major EQ building standards, so even if the building rocks off a foundation, it stays together, does not pancake, saving lives

In the 'Urgency of Normal', which has been actively propagated since 2021, that vaccines would save us - the underlying theme was the already disabled, vulnerable would have to sacrifice, creating a façade of a past time

The reality is cases of Long Covid, secondary diseases due to immune suppression, are rising rapidly, while health measures are being undermined due to disinformation and stress on the system

It won't be long before ALL become the ignored

@hannu_ikonen same, and posted this a few times over the past years - Canadian Blood Services keeps calling us to 'urgently donate', we keep telling them to fuck off until they adequately mask everyone, and ventilate the clinics

I seriously don't get the reluctance - people who donate generally are very health aware, would likely happily comply

I've worked in the BC Leg, on campaigns - staff see it, have to respond - the only way we get change is through pressure
