How much alone time vs socializing do you need?

For me there are a few people who are usually equalizing, and I can just be around them, so I won't count that. But generally, I find about 3 times a week, I'm game for socializing. A day in between to rest is usually nice, but the larger the gathering or if we go somewhere particularly noisy or I'm meeting new people that involves more effort, and my social battery empties sooner. I'm very curious where everyone else falls on this!

@purplepadma I kind of miss them. I grew up in the heart of the American South and now live in Southeast Texas. We don't have them here. That droning sound is the sound of my childhood summers.

I found a tiny wicker chest while cleaning. Squirrel sized. So of course I filled it with nuts and set it out. Little Bronson could not figure out how a lid works. I think he might be a little slow, sometimes I see him licking sticks and trying to eat tree pieces. In a surprise upset it was the baby ground squirrels who hopped up and demonstrated how to open a lid 🤗

Now Bronson is like Spider-Man spread eagle on the fence trying to chew a hole in the corner, which kind of worked, he got some walnut crumbs this way

@Catlynn I have a bird feeder out that's just the right size for chickadees. It's a clear acrylic tube with a metal bottom with holes and perches for them to access the food. Most go to the holes and perches with no problem. One of them, however keeps trying to get the food through the acrylic. Definitely a bit slow.

There's a place that I like to buy wings from that is only open like 3 days a week for four hours per day and I'm pretty sure it's a drug front and they're sick as hell of me actually ordering food from them 😂😂😂

@BlackAzizAnansi I used to get wings from this place in Atlanta that had no daytime hours. They were open only at night. Every time I went to pick up my order there was a table full of Chinese guys getting drunk and no one else in the restaurant. Always thought it was a front but they had great wings

Tonight, I did something naughty. Something I don't normally do but felt... adventurous. Dangerous. Tonight I felt the shadows of night begin to fall, and a smirk of mischief caught in the light.

Three years ago, a tremendous fire ripped through the East Valley foothills (Beachie Creek Complex)

After a week of red skies, I was somehow rewarded with her - Yes, my super-hero kitty, Esmerelda.

We never knew for sure where she originally was, she had passed thru a couple rescues by the time we found her.

But she my fire-kitty, Three years old now, but this is still what I see..
