@GossiTheDog You mean Duckduckgo relies on Microsoft services to run, or are you saying Duckduckgo as a search engine is really just the bing search engine? Honest question - not trying to be snarky.

Must delete Google.

I am nearly ready to delete my Google Account. The 1 thing taking forever is changing my e-mail address on all my many accounts.

@Linux I’m really impressed. Thinking of how I’d leave the eco system and it feels daunting, especially the docs and Gmail aspect .

Started watching Bob's Burgers and it's been a comedic breath of fresh air for me. The characters are so genuine and funny. The jokes are there with the soul purpose to make you laugh. Unlike many of its contemporaries it's not trying to moralize or have highfalutin philosophy. It's clearly a 'dumb show' made by smart people, rather than the oft inverse of dumb people trying to make a smart show (ahem, South Park).

My biggest concern with The Prime Minister's vacation, or really any other major democratically elected world leader for that matter is that their vacations were relaxing and refreshing. I don't know about you but I want my world leaders sound of mind, at at their best. Now billionnaire vacations, that's a whole other matter. https://www.thestar.com/politics/federal/government-defends-another-free-vacation-for-justin-trudeau-at-luxury-resort-all-of-the-rules/article_656b7428-ae4e-11ee-a116-db9b4c58c721.html?li_source=LI&li_medium=politics

Stop arguing over the best Linux distro

Ubuntu is great
Arch is fun for tinkering
Fedora is good for workstations
Mint is good for newbies
Manjaro
Pop!_OS has a cool interface
EndeavourOS is interesting for easy Arch installs

I watched and I thought it was brilliant. Only afterwards did I find out about the “audience score” and related review bombing. It’s definitely not a perfect show, but this campaign of bad reviews has all the hallmarks of an alt right anti-woke grift. These complaints are tired, lazy, and frankly boring.

Post deleted because the little voice in the back of my head said "You know, no one gives a shit" and then the voice in front of my head said "Yeah, you're probably right", so I wrote this post instead which no one gives a shit about. That will teach the little voice in the back of my head.

I really do feel like I am fighting Linux, today.

A occasionally reoccurring bug has resurfaced in Arch Linux, and by extension, Manjaro, Linux, too.

My PC boots up, but loses display. The fix is to press ALT F2 or ALT 3 (forget which one), causing the system to switch to the terminal. From there, you log in and tell the system to reboot

Upon reboot, it works

The problem is 1) physically rebooting means you'll run into this problem again. 2) Bluetooth keyboard doesn''t work until I overcome

Another person criticized me for promoting my Patreon. Let me put this into perspective. People spent $74.6 million to see the 2019 film Cats in theaters. At the current rate, it would take 34,158 years for my project to bring in as much money as Cats. I like to think Low Quality Facts provides at least as much entertainment value as Cats, a film which one critic described as "The worst thing to happen to cats since dogs".
In conclusion, here's my Patreon:
