I thought of a good way to view the eclipse, as much as we are forecast to see today. Dug out and dusted off the old Artograph projector and tested it yesterday with the full sun. Perfect! Now if the overcast will clear in time...

There was a political discussion taking place on the bus yesterday.

Youngish guy spewing right wing talking points.
I introduced nuance to the conversation.
Then end of the conversation came with him yelling at me, “Don’t you watch any news?!?”

Upon my exit he said he was sorry if he hurt my feelings.

“What infuriated me was the “don’t you watch the news” question. No, I don’t. I don’t watch television. What I do is read many more publications in a day than you could possibly imagine.”
