"Extremists Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) vowed to throw House speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) out of the speakership, but Democrats Tom Suozzi of New York and Jared Moskowitz of Florida have said they would vote to keep him in his seat, thereby defanging the attack on his leadership."

"The Democrats would respond not by moving in the direction of working for the people. They responded by scapegoating their losses onto the Green Party.
They’re great scapegoaters—they never look at themselves in the mirror.
I love that phrase. “This is not the time.” If you go lesser-of-two-evils every four years, you’re gonna go lower. A liberal Republican from the 1970s now would be considered a progressive Democrat. That’s how far the Republicans have gone."

Money talks and justice walks.
“My lawyers tell me that that is exactly what would most likely happen here. Rupert Murdoch’s lawyers are very expensive. So even if every allegation is proven in court, I would still be liable for something approaching £10m in costs. I’m afraid I am shying at that fence.”

Ruling sounds like something that should worry Trump.
"... the Fifth Circuit concluded that Claiborne’s 'three separate theories that might justify' holding a protest leader liable are a non-exhaustive list, and that the MAGA-infused court is allowed to create new exceptions to the First Amendment. It then ruled that the First Amendment does not apply “where a defendant creates unreasonably dangerous conditions, and where his creation of those conditions causes a plaintiff to sustain injuries.”

While moving is stressful in many ways (and exciting in even more), it’s a piece of cake compared to the stress I feel from politics.

Speaking of which, today is Pack More Stuff Day, Open House Day tomorrow… so I won’t be around much.

If news breaks— well, you know the rest.

SCOTUS dragging out a decision on T****'s immunity just may be because it could cost certain justices and their wives hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.
Another consideration is the justices' concern for their own safety after the reaction to the Dobbs decision. No justices were harmed at all, only fearful.

The "pro-life" extremists would have people think that having an abortion is something that women take as lightly as getting a drive through coffee.
It isn't. It never is. It is a physical and mental traumatic experience, no matter what the circumstances.
I am not pro abortion and I don't think anyone else is. I believe your healthcare is a private matter for you and your doctor and it's your choice if you want to share it with anyone else.
