Acquired the audiobooks of the original Thrawn trilogy by Timothy Zahn, because I've just gradually decided I'm not super interested in the modern Disney-era canon and only want to explore or re-explore the very fun stories of the now-Legends era, spurred on by the recent sales on Legends-era games.

Played some of Battle Circuit today, it is kinda tough but the character designs are colorful and creative, the backgrounds are solid, and the levels are pretty short and boss-oriented. Definitely gonna sink some more time and a lot more unlimited continues into it.

As part of the recovery process from my recent assault, I want to motivate myself to start writing more regularly, maybe even get back into journaling as I'm getting ready to start counseling again.

So to help encourage me I ordered myself a prize of a cheap $10 fountain pen, the first I've ever owned, thinking that if I had a decent pen I'll certainly want to find excuses to use it.

I own a bunch of modern albums on cassette through the Spirit Goth cassette club, but I really need to open up the wallet and try to invest in some historic dream pop and shoegaze releases too, it is really the perfect medium to listen to codeine haze genres.

@historyofpunkrock It is probably the weakest of the post-Zen Arcade albums and STILL contained some of the best songs of the entire 80s underground. Husker Du at their weakest were better than most.

I rewatched The Untouchables bc II picked up a brand new, still sealed for $1.50 weeks back.

The movie is often too corny for its own good, Kevin Costner is just one of the most boring actors of all time, and its weirdly pro-Prohibition.

However, almost every single shot is a visual treat, it is just gorgeously designed and photographed. Connery is a delight, De Niro too tho underused. They don't hold back their squibs. Solid way to pregame football.

@max Yes! Back in the early 90s they filmed intros for each episode on VHS with the Log Lady saying a bunch of cryptic things. They are great, they are on the BluRay releases and you can find them all on YouTube too

@KentuckyConjurer Back when Jim was just playing Ernest as a commercial pitchman throughout the South, our local CBS affiliate used him for bumpers, so my area's love affair with him began even before the films did so they always had a big impact among kids here since their parents all knew and liked the character for years too.
