Doh, figured out I could forward all the mail received at a PO Box I have for a business (for a small fee). I should have started doing that more than a decade ago when I stopped working in that neighborhood.
every time I got a new apartment, I would forward my mail from my apartment to my PO BOX, it was more reliable at the PO BOX and didn't get stolen there
These solar storm numbers make me wonder for a moment how much fun I'd be having this weekend if I had picked a normal hobby like #hamradio instead of building Internet infrastructure in my free time.
Birthday #POTA commence. Starting high moving lower as the day wears on. Currently 28.408 MHz. Will try to post updates in the replies, but cell signal is sketchy.
@k8vsy Meant to tell you- I saw stations calling you on 20 meter FT8 yesterday while I was out doing #POTA but I never heard you directly unfortunately.
I'm slowly going through the learning materials for the #hamradio exam. I want to get properly prepared, not just learn the answers, I hope to take the exam somewhere in early autumn.
I'm reaching out to the mastodon #hamradio community to find out if there's anyone in the Houston, Texas area that will be holding an exam session. I tried the Facebook route but that failed miserably and I don't trust the #ARRL exam session listings. Are their any volunteer examiners in the Houston area that can help steer me in the right direction outside of MeetUp and Facebook. :)
Hmm, I'm going to be walking around looking for air leaks for weeks and weeks, LOL. Now that I know what to look for. (training from the DOE available on how to detect air leaks... cool photo showing what leaks look like). #FLIR#insulation#weatherization#EnergyEfficiency
I don't use software or traditional binder for logging but a small notebook simply because I make many notes i.e. (Solar Data, Antenna & Rig used, key used, etc) & use index cards of frequent fliers (Hunters) my #POTA sites, and club member numbers.
