Really good one! Love it.

But you still should think about not to hide your website behind Cloudflare. I know most people do not see this man-in-the-middle but if you use routing through Tor it pops up making people thing about it.

Your server does not change normally, because the server normally runs behind it and Cloudflare is positioned in front of your server.

So for the server there should not be that much changes, the only and most importand thing is, that the SSL cert and private key must not be handed out to 3rd parties.

I know the problems of financing and handling servers operated as hobby project and people thinking "one has to do something" :-). So it was just an idea from my side.

@organicmaps this depneds on the setup. If cloudflare is redirecting to their own cdn based on some directories off your server you would need to change that these directories would be redirected by your webserver to e.g. cdn.cdnprovider.com .

The advantage would be theat you are in full control, means changing the cdn provider you simply change the redirects in your apache or nginx after syncing the files there. this should even work with cdn.ownttracks.app round robin to more than 1 cdn.

You should do a press release immediately to not shutdown the servers, as posted by @EDPS in may and furthermore you should commit to a long time financing the servers, also after the elections. Otherwise all will think you post a commitment now and forget about it after the election.

In dem und daraus folgend auch in vielen Fällen in Unternehmen müssten ja hohe Strafen der Datenschutzbehörde kommen. Insbesondere bei Organisationen mit 1000enden Mitarbeitern. Haben die Betroffenen (Mitarbeiter/Partner.. ) einen Entschädigungsanspruch für die Daten welche übermittelt wurden?

Andernfalls ist die DSGVO ja eine Niederschrift für den Trash und kein EU Gesetz an das man sich in der EU halten muss.

Had to go back fron to because i never would use a mobile without and UBPorts does not support this, but it worked pretty nice. Because no other Linux for available I have LOS on all devices till I can move to Linux.

    @jpmens Warum darf? Natürlich gehört die Heizung bei den aktuellen Temperaturen in der Nacht aufgedreht. Sonst kühlt das Haus ja komplett aus.

    Das mit dem Datenschutz wird täglich wichtiger und man kann sehr wohl die Kontrolle über die eigenen Daten, natürlich mit etwas Aufwand, behalten.

    Finally everything works nice. /48 Range from my carrier in one location. There 2 based Routers on top of running for . Having a IP on this ones, but mainly they are routing based on the OSPF routing tables.

    Inside this net 4 , all running for . each 2 configured for high availablity. 2 of them running my own delegating /64 ranges through 2 GIF tunnels per location to other location. there FFR for OSPF too.

    Basically I with every server, but after reading that will only federate with big instances and smaller ones has to apply for I think the big instances like .social and others should block federation till will federate with every instance. Otherwise Threads starts with which is unacceptable.

    If @Gargron accepts federation with Meta, knowing the try to control Fediverse, I assume this is the beginning of the end.

    @folkerschamel currently not. but, based on independent.ie, it looks like based on the GDPR decission EU data regulation Ireland has not given green light for Threads in Europe.
