Many consider that #p2p contradictory to such use cases as organizations, project teams, tasks, wiki, Jira-like or YouTrack-like software, and other use-cases that require restricted access and support of permissions.
But implementing such things would be a fascinating goal per se.
Sadly I don;t have too much time to spend on that, and I am not a pro in P2P development, just a newbie touching this scope with curiosity in this context.

These stories when #State installs various #spyware such as #pegasus give me not just creepy/eerie feeling.
Such stories questions suitability usage of any electronic device, let it be a linux desktop/laptop or any smartphone, even suc as e/OS equipped, not speaking about standard iOS/Android devices.
And it pushes down motivation for developing any #p2p software as well, just because if your risk model includes government spyware installation on your devices, this is beyond their usage scope.

that anything that is not a really decentralized thing, literally a peer-to-peer stuff such as Utopia, it will eventually will end up the same way as Fediverse which is merging into few large clamps over time, like mastodon[dot]social/online I am sitting on.

One of things that sometimes concerns me is the fact that things that started as way to attract real investment (selling shares of own enterprise on #stockmarket ) become source of #scam, cheat, #microtrading, futures, and other ways of making money out of air without making real investment (without giving money to the entity whose shares are being traded).
Solution for me is reducing or #degrowth of the stock market to real exchange of phisical stocks or switch to #directinvestments market.

As more and more content becomes video and audio "podcast", I become more and more a #ghost that #prefertext over video or audio.
May be I just getting old, but even from #degrowth perspective, making something that can be represented with few kb of text or markup with 256 kb or 512 kb illustrations most of the time, as a 500 mb or even 1 GB high-resolution video, or dozens of mb of loud audio - this is a tech fiasco.

Current situation to passkeys have smell of #vendorlockin as by their nature the #passkeys can not be shared easily across platforms, and sometimes across devices on same "platform" (here platform is Windows, iOS/MacOS and Android). It is very easy to notice that Linux never mentioned in context of passkeys.
