The pet sitter is sending photo updates and I particularly like this one because it shows off Ouzo’s tendency to floof-tail when he’s excited, not just when he’s scared.

@gbhnews Here is Ouzo, named after the licorice flavored alcohol. I like neither licorice nor alcohol but this guy is 100% my buddy. (He was named at the shelter and I’m bad at naming so it stuck!)

Dug this out of hibernation to finish up for my niece's birthday next month.

Honestly, the pattern sucked. It wasn't that complicated but the instructions are SO terrible. And it's not just me, there's whole blogs about it, lmao.

So I fought with this every step of the way, and I'm so glad to have it done and blocking. Didn't pin it because I wanted to see how it'd dry when my sister washes it.

@markwyner There are a few sites (webcomics I’ve followed for years, mostly) where I will disable the ad blocker because I respect the artist/site owner and want them to be paid, but that’s the exception.

Please, never ever assume a woman is pregnant. The woman packing our stuff at Costco touched our watermelon and said I was packing another one in "there" and talked about her first grandkid.

I'm definitely not thin, but I'm also not pregnant looking and this is such a punch in the gut. I spent 2022 barely able to move before getting surgery and self medicated a lot.

Assuming a woman is pregnant can be so hurtful and harmful on someone's self-esteem. Just don't do it.

@Pheneatis My mother had a kidney issue that put her on dialysis. She held a lot of fluid in her abdomen, making her look 9 months pregnant in her late 40s. She got so tired of trying to explain this to everyone that she finally just started faking a smile and saying “any day now” to everyone who commented on it.

So, I occasionally have insomnia. I've had it for the last two nights.

I"m open to suggestions for tonight. I've tried: reading, meditation, audiobooks, switching rooms, tea, and warm milk.

Does anyone have suggestions? Other than hitting myself over the head with a frying pan?

As the spring progresses, less and less sun comes through our south-facing windows (We’re in a townhouse so we’ve got just north and south windows). This is Highly Disappointing.
