I was using that app called Permission Slip to delete my data from Rite Aid because I hate them.
Apparently you can have Trans Union delete your data, I can’t imagine that it’s a good thing (deleting your credit report information) but look at what they collect on people, this is absolutely crazy.
How would they be collecting medical information? This is so gross, is this just if I use a Trans Union app? Or do they somehow get all this just by me looking at my Trans Union credit report through their website?
I'm looking at #homerepair & #enerysaving#grants for a #relative. There's something not right about the amount of #data you have to 'share' & the #privacy you have to give-away just to find out about #home#grant eligibility.
Clearly there are criteria but surely there could be a list or an annonymous Q&A people can use to establish potential #eligibility. Access to #personaldata should only be required if an actual application is made.
Passengers say CISF, airport staff are collecting biometric data without consent
The data is being collected for Digi Yatra, which allows for digital processing of passengers; Digi Yatra Foundation CEO says they are “ramping up” the app’s use across airports through such one-time sign-ups.

At least Zoom was clear that they were gonna use your private information to train AI systems. Microsoft, however, is being ambiguous and shady about it.

#UK#Health Secretary Steve Barclay: Stop Palantir’s NHS data takeover
The government wants to hand US spy tech firm Palantir a £480 million contract to run a new database that will likely include huge amounts of our health data held by the NHS – the “Federated Data Platform”
#DataProtection#Privacy#PersonalData#SensitiveData: "A quiet revolution has been going on with personal and sensitive data. There have been many notable developments. In the past few years, we’ve witnessed the triumph of the EU approach to defining personal data and to designating special protections for sensitive data.
We’ve seen a growing recognition in the law that:
the overwhelming modern consensus in privacy law is to define personal data as identified or identifiable data
new laws (post-GDPR) are now overwhelmingly recognizing sensitive data, even in the U.S.
various pieces of non-personal data can, in combination, be identifiable
the ability to make inferences about data can’t be ignored
non-sensitive data that gives rise to inferences about sensitive data counts as sensitive data
These are significant developments, yet oddly, they haven’t made headline news.
I recently wrote an article about sensitive data. I argue that because non-sensitive data can count as sensitive data if it gives rise to inferences about sensitive data, all personal data is likely sensitive data with modern data analytics."
One Nation, One ID: Govt plans unique identification of school children, directs states to begin process
The growing weight of non-academic tasks created unrest amongst teachers. School heads said they are already struggling to update the Aadhaar details of students on the portal.

In 2020, the EU-level judiciary decreed #SchremsII whereby customers of US cloud service providers must themselves verify the data protection laws of the recipient country, document its risk assessment and confer with its customers.
In 2021, various French-state-level authorities stated that #MSOffice365 did not conform (to doctrine and #GDPR) or that secondary education schools should avoid it. 👇
