So, ich habe original jetzt seit gestern 6h lang RSS- und Feedreader ausprobiert. Ich wollte "entcluttern" und die Marie Kondo der Webinhalts-Tsunamis werden. Wichtige Kriterien dabei:

  • Gut anpassbare Listen/Magazin-Views
  • Vernuenftige Widgets fuer Android/IOS
  • Leichter Import/Export
  • Einfache Sortierung
  • Newsletter-Abos (wichtig!)
  • Social Media Integration
  • Offline-Funktion
  • Vernuenftige Volltext-Suche

Nach Feedly und Readwise bin ich nun beim Inoreader gelandet und gluecklich!

@pallenberg ich nutze auch schon seit Jahren den . Einfach klasse. Selbst in der kostenlosen Version. Ich mag vor allem die Funktion, um den kompletten Artikel lesen zu können, falls der Feed nur eine verkürzte Version anbietet.

@pallenberg während dein Newsletter im Prinzip wie immer aussieht fehlen ein paar Dinge in meinen Augen:

  1. Es scheint keinen RSS Feed zu geben wie bei Substack. Ich lese nämlich am liebsten die Beträge auf . Früher habe ich den Feed als RSS eingebunden.
  2. Bei Substack kann man Beträge als gelesen markieren (Archivieren). So wusste ich immer, was ich noch zu lesen habe.

Vielleicht tut sich da noch was, oder das gibt’s alles schon und ich habe es nicht gefunden 😉

Mach weiter so.

@IceCubesApp Hi, I love using . But is this a bug, or a feature that pictures in my notifications timeline are too small. In my normal timeline the pictures have a bigger size (width of my stream). Can I control this behavior?

und dann 5 vergleichbare Vorschlaege macht.

Inkl. Titel, 3 bekanntesten Schauspieler:innen, kurze Beschreibung, IMDB Wertung und Link zum Youtube-Trailer.

Danach fasst er noch einmal alles zusammen und generiert ein Filmplakat.

@pallenberg hallo Sascha, wenn ich auf deinen Link klicke, bekomme ich die Meldung, dass ich ChatGPT plus benötige.
Ich selbst verwende ChatGPT, hauptsächlich zum Tee mit PowerShell als auch, um mir meist technische Begriffe erklären zu lassen oder um Webseiten zusammenzufassen. Zum Programmieren kann ich Phind.com sehr empfehlen.

Die Daten stammen aus einer Statista-Untersuchung von September 2023, die durchschnittliche Downloadraten von speedtest.net ausgewertet hat. Dies sind Medianwerte in Mbit/s für Festnetz-Internetanschlüsse. Habt ihr schon Glasfaser? 🌐

Die Top 5: Hong Kong 265,17 Mbit/s Singapur 259,11 Mbit/s Chile 246,39 Mbit/s Ver. Arab. Emirate 231,39 Mbit/s Thailand 219,1 Mbit/s
Und Deutschland? Wir hängen in aktuellen Erhebungen mit 87,03 Mbit/s auf Platz 54, weit hinter Ländern wie Ungarn (155,56), Panama (144,72) und Portugal (143,79). Das liegt vor allem an der Verbreitung von Glasfaseranschlüssen hierzulande.
Aktuell sind nur 9,2% der Anschlüsse Glasfaser – deutlich dominanter sind Breitbandanschlüsse durch DSL oder Kabel-TV-Netze. Aktuell ist fast jeder vierte Breitbandanschluss in Deutschland ein Kabelanschluss.

macOS version of the app will improve over the next few weeks, two things are being tracked down:

  • The app is hanging when resuming from being idle for a while.
  • The RAM usage seems to keep growing.

@IceCubesApp Hey, I really like . Also that theres a real macOS version. But what I really miss is a proper image viewer. There are a lot of toots with multiple images. And when I click on one image the preview is always quite small. Also I cannot switch to the next image for example with the direction keys. I have to close the preview and then open the next one. Is this something which will be improved? Thank you in advance.

Ice Cubes is now available as a proper macOS application! If you had the iOS app installed on your mac, you can remove it and install this one instead.

This is the first version. A lot of macOS-specific features will be added in the future!

@IceCubesApp The macOS app runs pretty well. Thank you for that. But please make more columns available. It looks totally ugly when you stretch the window and the main area becomes wider and wider. The left column always has the same width. Thanks.

Inzwischen muss ich wohl mal einen Rant nachlegen & raushauen, was mir alles auf die Nerven geht.

  • Wifi, das nach Updates nicht mehr funktioniert
  • TimeMachine Backup, welches ich einfach nicht zum Laufen bekomme
  • Menue oben am Monitor, anstatt in den Apps
  • Inkonsistentes Design
  • Verzeichnis-Hierarchie des Wahnsinns

und und und... liebe es dennoch mit Mini und MacBook zu arbeiten 😎
