I came from the and always wondered why you need an extra program for programming in DOS. I mean, on the C64 you just write a '1' and then the code directly in the command line and the computer knew that this is now a program you want to write and saved it as your code. It is a bit clumsy to start a seperate program for this workflow 😅 And then you were only able to run those .bas files in QBasic, not just everywhere. The C64 was truly amazing. But yeah, I also changed to PC later

For some reason F-Droid now shows the message, that it "was developed for an older version of Android". In F-Droid Basic the message does not appear. I don't want automatic updates, so it isn't bothering me, but my Android version hasn't changed so why now is it an app for an older version? I think it's a bug.

I know I’ve been in a “retro games are great I miss those simpler times we have to go back” mood as of late, but I broke out the Mega Sg to play Columns III and Mega Bomberman with my wife and twins, and we all had a super fun time.

I really wish had more casual-friendly 4-player games.

I think a few sport games like NHL, Madden were also for 4 players and NBA Jam. Idk how old your kids are and if you are into fighting games, but Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 as well.

You can also have fun with 2 player games and changing after each level or something like that. Then there would be more choice.

Thema : Warum sind die eigentlich nicht universell? Ein ist doch nichts Anderes als ein PC und da kann ich mir auch jedes bzw. OS draufhauen. Warum also muss es eine CR immer explizit für dieses eine Telefonmodell geben? Klar, andere CPU, andere GraKa, anderer Speicher, aber beim PC geht's doch auch. Ich wünsche mir, dass CRs einfach auf jedem Phone anwendbar werden.

Verstehe das Problem nicht. Stehen in HH keine Fahrscheinautomaten an den Haltestellen? Einfache Regel: vorher kaufen, dann einsteigen. In Bus und Bahn kann man einfach gar nichts mehr kaufen. Der Automat nimmt natürlich nach wie vor Bargeld. Wie gesagt, geht natürlich nur, wenn bereits Fahrscheinautomaten stehen, was ich nicht weiß. Aber da wird sich schon jemand Gedanken gemacht haben.

I am still determining the future, but the idea of AI painting or reading/writing books or poems, while humans are losing jobs is terrifying. The AI quality is not good but passable, while real talented people are looking to lose jobs. What do you think?

If you want me to think big then it doesn't matter that people lose jobs because we don't need jobs. That is the goal of technology, right? Not only to make a few things easier, it's to replace! I mean, imagine building cars by hand instead of machines? When everything is automated and works, and even machines take over the maintenenance and production of themselves, we even don't need money because everything is available. It only needs to be regulated... by machines 😁

A few years ago, somebody I know, came from Naples to visit me in Germany. We drove with my car and as I was stopping on a red traffic light, he looked around and then asked me why I'm stopping, if there are snipers on the roof tops or what? In Naples nobody would stop because a light bulb is glowing 😁

@OutofPrintArchive Had them too. In times without internet one of the few sources of good tips for a game. And so well made, very good quality and content. I loved the printed maps of whole levels like a big map. I always wondered how they do that. A photo of each screen and then stitched together? 😅

@Meowie_Gamer @fedora Yeah, it's like rolling release, that means always the newest packages, but it's also like 'testing' or 'nightly', because the packages are in rawhide way before they come to the 'stable' tree. So, if you rely on a stable system it's not recommended to use rawhide. IMO you can use it as a daily w/o problems, depends on how willing you are to experiment if something happens.

@Sibshops @Tusky Every video I try cannot be played. With for example it works, in not. So, it shouldn't be the phone, except Fedilab comes with codecs exclusively for the app, but I doubt it is so. So what else could be the reason? Thanks

Edit: And no, I can't see this video. After pressing the play button it seems it's loading, then comes a black screen with the message "cannot play this video" (screenshot shows the german message) and that's it. Always the same.

This is how I see the thread, and when I click on the picture/video the black screen appears.

@Sibshops @Tusky Just installed which looks actually the same like Tusky, idk what's the difference in detail between the two clients, but in Husky I can play videos. I also deleted cache, memory, de- and reinstalled Tusky again, but no change. It doesn't play videos. Just for information. If I have time I will create an issue. Thanks.
