My family never bothered except for weddings/christenings, but they'd send me every week. When at 15 I announced I wasn't going cos I wanted to watch batman you'd think I'd declared I was a satanist. None of the arguments they came up with had anything to do with god, it was all about what the neighbours would say and what the school would say.
