Okay so with no show stoppers appearing, I've dropped Greater Northshore BIke Map 1.2 - Late May 2024, which shows bike infrastructure and adds preferred non-infrastructure routes between the Seattle and the new Eastside 2 Line Bike Connector maps.
It covers Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Kenmore, Bothell, Woodinville, Juanita, parts of north Redmond that the 2 Line leaves out, and a decent chunk of unincorporated NE King County.
Next up will be a revision of the MEGAMAP, a map that pastes together the Greater Northshore map and the two others into one big poster-sized beast.
After the MEGAMAP update, there probably really will be a big break, since infrastructure additions don't show up overnight. But I'm always looking for new data, so please give it to me if you have some!

@allen@ducksauz I do believe I answered ST's survey about this many months ago, with something like "these options are negligibly different and any change along this axis is not worth the extended timeline".
Once again, there's corpo-political BS going on with light rail. Seems that under some Amazon influence, the ST board is aiming to go against their own staff recommendations for the CID station location. Apparently, Amazon is concerned about their drivers being slowed down by construction. Screw that!

46-minute PLAYING IN THE BAND is wondrous monster, one of the longest standalone pieces in the band’s history. gets a bit abstract/free/noisy early before (mostly) focusing on fast-flashing attention-holding conversation. moves towards end-space a few times, but someone picks up thread. 34-minute EYES OF THE WORLD > STELLA BLUE > SUGAR MAGNOLIA. powerful EYES with aggressive bass solo leading into 7/8 outro. nice musical pause before SUGAR MAGNOLIA, which gets a bit tattered as it goes. It was a dream to work at Wizards of the Coast when I first moved to #Seattle. And I wasn’t even hardcore into Magic … beyond buying a bunch of cards on eBay. I applied for so many jobs but never got an interview. Great interview with Richard Garfield.

Big mega transportation projects primarily benefiting people who drive just roll along and get most of the money but the projects for non-drivers are often crumbs we’re expected to cheer for and even bigger projects are easily cut when money is tight. Thanks Kimberly for this framing.
I think a lot about the “Seattle Transportation Plan” basically threw out all the work folks have been doing for a decade+ to get some consensus on bike and pedestrian infra that should exist. Imperfect infra but better. There are maps with bike routes that will never exist in any real sense just as there are many many blocks of sidewalks that will only come into being if a big multi-family development happens adjacent. But the roads for people who can drive are already there. #nondrivers
