An Apple Air Tag uses a lithium cell to power it. Small few mA rechargeable type lithium cells can be charged by a 3.3V regulator, low reverse current blocking diode, and a resistor to limit the charge current. The wires for the switch in the handle for triggering opening the charge port door could provide the power for the 3.3V regulator. ...
Eka_FOOF_A, ... This is a circuit the lithium cell maker showed how to make in an application note. I use it for charging backup batteries for the digital clock chips in my art pieces.
Doing this would allow the air tag circuit to be built into the charger handle, and it would work for the life of the cord, not just the life of the Air Tag battery.
Those Air Tags could be computer monitored for location. When one moves it can be automatically flagged and investigated.
CelloMomOnCars, "The head of the IPCC has compared the rollout of carbon capture and storage (#CCS) to "trying to push water uphill," questioning a technology that the oil and gas industry has long touted as integral to net-zero emission plans.
The International Energy Agency has previously called for the oil and gas industry to let go of the "illusion" that carbon capture is a solution to climate change, pushing instead for energy majors to ramp up investments in clean energy."
CelloMomOnCars, So the experts say CCS is a dud.
ExxonMobil CEO:
CCS is a cool technology (makes big profit for us) and
Fossil fuel companies are the ONLY people who can help you with that tech;
Never mind that the tech is unproven and expensive and –What, the public doesn't want to pay for our profit, you'd rather have cheap wind and solar?
IT'S YOUR FAULT THAT THERE'S NO CLIMATE ACTION.
Why won't climate activists let us help WAAAAH.Wow.

Hypx, EU is likely going to put tariffs on Chinese BEVs pretty soon. My personal take has always been that BEVs are merely a ploy by the CCP to gain marketshare in Western markets. Beyond that, there is no real interest by Chinese automakers, and likely they will abandon BEVs the moment it becomes convenient for them.

When Musk arrived, they thought it too good to be true.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said he opposed U.S. tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles. "Tesla competes quite well in the Chinese market, with no tariffs and no deferential support. In general, I am in favor of no tariffs," he said last week when answering audience questions via video link during VivaTech, an annual technology conference dedicated to innovation and startups in Paris.
