Today I got more time than expected to dedicate to the #springlispgamejam2024. I managed to refactor the game logic (still using no ECS...) to get some gameplay with collisions and randomness; and add music! (No sound effects yet...) #GNUGuile and #chickadee are very good BTW. #lisp#lispgamejam
(Actually, this is a fledgling, and although chattery as ever still very skittish. The first year I got serious about watching my birds, I panicked when all the chickadees vanished in March and April. Then I realized they were busy making more chickadees.)
A fat little #chickadee was hanging out on the bird feeder, just looking around & staring off into the trees, for quite a while. Pretty tickled that they’re getting so comfortable with the house. :blobCat_love_melt:
Wish there was some way to mitigate the “birds shit absolutely everywhere absolutely all the time” part of the equation though. :blobCat_shrug:
Chickadee spirit dancing the fancy shawl dance in some eastern woodlands inspired regalia. Inspired by indigenous culture, books I have been reading such as the Seven Generations and the Seven Grandfather Teachings as well as The Manitous. I made a few of these types of pieces and I thought they all came out super cute so I'll share them a piece at a time.
Anna Cardwell, better known to reality TV viewers as 'Chickadee' on "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo", has died at 29 after a long battle with cancer. Cardwell had broken off ties with the family after the series ended, but fences were mended and she made a couple of appearances on We TV's "Mama June" series at the end of last season. #AnnaCardwell#Chickadee#RIP#MamaJune#HoneyBooBoo#WeTV#Television
I caught this cute this chestnut-backed chickadee eating snow one day...it had been following me around, hoping for one of the peanuts I kept in my coat pocket in winter.
These birds are such friendly little creatures and their cheery calls to each other fill the air around here at times.
I hope your Tuesday is a cheerful one.
The chickadees have been visiting throughout the day for at least a few weeks now. They're always too quick or too far away for photos. This one posed for me for several minutes today.
