Today in Labor History July 12, 1919: Erich Mühsam was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in the Bavarian Workers' Councils uprising. He was an antimilitarist, anarchist, essayist, poet and playwright and one of the leading agitators for a federated Bavarian Soviet Republic. He also did cabaret performances during the Weimar Republic that satirized Hitler, who was, coincidentally, released from jail under the same amnesty that freed Mühsam in 1924. Mühsam was tortured and murdered in the Oranienburg concentration camp in 1934.
The Russian army launched a terror attack against the Ukrainian oblast capital of Sumy using Iranian-made Shahed 131/136 suicide drones. To this moment we count at least one dead and 16 wounded.
There are no visible military targets. The Russian army reminds us that random violence is still the most effective method for terrorism, plus they hope that Ukraine will be forced to redeploy air defense assets there and away from the active frontlines.

You know how people say that if they had a time machine, they would use it to go kill #Hitler? Well, there were over 23 attempts cumulating with the famous Operation Valkyrie (Wagner) by Col. Clause von Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise). So, before you fuel up your time machine, read up on the history for Hitler assassination attempts and don't repeat the same mistakes. Who knows maybe you'll be number 24 on the list. And note, none of this mention the attempts on baby Hitler.

I read that quote from #Putin about "a thousand year history". The last guy that talked about "A Thousand Year..." was #Hitler and his Reich. And that ended badly.
I feel like even the people who dislike Musk are putting too much stock into the genius supervillain narrative. It's highly unlikely he's slowly executing some pre-thought out plan to shift Twitter far right. He's a naïve socially-inept billionaire manchild who got radicalized by a bunch of alt-right grifters. It's as simple as that. No master plan, no 4d chess, just someone who never underwent any real emotional development.
