The Adventures of J-Loy continue! We finally know what the game's name means! We know what Zero Dawn is... but how did they do it? We won't find answers just sitting around. Maybe it's just over the Horizon...
I'm working on Gunnar Brammer's Chosen One streamer pattern. These hooks (Gamakatsu B10s #1/0) aren't quite big enough for the full fuzzy fiber head. If I drop down to a #1 or a #2, I can tie the same fly and leave the head off; I think they will make really nice deceivers without the bulky head.
This material is a kanekalon product called Easy Braid. It is way less expensive than the premium craft fur products marketed for tying streamers.
It seems slightly encouraged buuut...I can't tell if like, anyone actually uses hashtags on the viewer side. I sure don't. I try to put my 3 hashtags on each video for SEO, but can't really tell if it helps. I don't usually bother in the title.
As much as I like Mastodon on principle, with easy 95% of #streamers active only on Twitter, I miss being able to interact with many of the streamers I watch or for events like the streamer awards, that is occurring right now.
Sorta thinking of a vtuber rig thingy for my TapTap but that's probably both outside of my comfort zone and budget for the moment. I don't even have a face cam to test that stuff with except on my phone
Meme highlight of Twitch CEO Dan Clancy visiting Rob Roflgator in VRChat to discuss the new Twitch TOS and get a first impression of what virtual reality is all about 😅
@Reno Unfortunately #VRChat has dedicated hate groups of stream snipers who intentionally harass #streamers.
They spam add and request on everyone in public or friends+ rooms to get in, then say racist profanity on stream, or put porn on their avatars, then go and report the streamer for hateful conduct to get them banned.
A lot of these harassers are anti-lgbtq and tend to target vrc streamers. The way to prevent it is to only stream in private lobbies and enable "streamer mode" in settings.
"I don’t mind a parasite. I object to a cut-rate one."
Those #AMPTP parasites need to put a fair offer on the table, finally.
There's more than enough money for the #studios and #streamers to stay obscenely wealthy while paying and treating everyone else in the business fairly.
The #SAGAFTRA#union is carefully deliberating over the #AMPTP's "Last, Best, and Final Offer" to ensure it satisfies their demands and doesn't ultimately harm its members, especially those members who are most at risk from previous #studio and #streamers actions and proposals.
Background #actors and others need to realize that the way the #AMPTP#studios and #streamers will use #AI, if not restricted, will mean that nearly all of them will have literally one or two more jobs, ever, as actors.
The #SAGAFTRA#union continues to highlight AI as a key ongoing sticking point to resolving the #strike.
With so many issues raised by the use of #AI, and the rapid changes in this still new #technology, the #AMPTP need to drop their demands on this and end the #strike.
It's only three years until the next contract negotiations, and by then we should all have a much better sense of how best to use AI in ways that #SAGAFTRA, et al. can protect all of the members of its #union.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like there is a significant shift in streamer popularity on #Twitch happening in the last 6 months.
So many streamers I watch are reducing their streaming hours, or have left entirely. Everyone wants to be a vTuber now.
Streamers I used to regularly see getting up to 6-7k viewers a stream now are lucky to get 2k.
Sure, some of it can attributed to post-covid, but it just seems like streamers who weren't able to make bank during covid are now giving up, and those that did don't need to stream any more.
@bcshort I'd say that's a factor, whether because of relaxing policies people are going back to work and so have less time to stream, or they've just moved on for whatever reason.
I'll also say a lot of #Twitch#streamers drop off because of burnout - popularity often relies on constant streaming (often the same content or even the same game), so it's easy to become exhausted by the grind when you're live for hours every day.
