In the UK, I expect we shall see this over the next ?5 ?50 years as the NHS changes to emergency care only and private healthcare de-facto takes over non-emergency care. A for-profit company will not want to be run by doctors. This can already be observed in dentistry. I had not seen it so well described in other trades though. Thank you!
I face a situation I can’t find a good answer for with #hledger:
I need to manage shared expenses, but keep at the same time the full amount spent in an account and half of the amount spent in another specific account for reimbursement (being either a liability or an asset as sometimes I pay the full amount and sometimes is my partner)

I particularly recommend the last talk of the first day by Aneesh Raghunandan on how OSHA's response to workplace safety violations reduced incidents for that firm in that state but tends to relate to increased violations for that firm in other states.

The USD/JPY gained downward momentum after the U.S. Federal Reserve's FOMC Statement, indicating a change in monetary policy. Interest rate cuts are now expected in spring 2024. The currency pair is currently trading near 141.800, testing values last seen in late July. Traders should be cautious as conditions remain volatile. Breaking below 143.000 and sustaining values below would signify further downward momentum. Support levels to watch are 142.000, 141.500, and 141.000.

After defense highlighted Bender's inconsistent statements about Mazars' use of specialists to evaluate assets, #Bender seemed to struggle to articulate how Mazars provided #accounting expertise.
