Will any member of the Roy family be CEO of Waystar Royco at the end of S4E10?

"Succession" came to an end last night. Here's a Magazine full of (spoiler-heavy) articles, including creator Jesse Armstrong on why the eventual successor was the right choice, and the fates of the rest of the characters. “I thought about all their stories,” Armstrong said. “You know, they don’t end. They will carry on. But it’s sort of where this show loses interest in them because they’ve lost what they wanted, which was to succeed."

Do you also watch the intro for every episode all the way through or are you a monster?

Professional mediator/negotiator insight/tip while watching : every negotiation is about dopamine, not $. The privileged asshats who gamble with billions would be equally content convincing a family to overpay $1500 for a minivan. When you're negotiating, understand that you're bargaining over hits of dopamine, not money.

You're welcome for saving you a lot of money.

I asked an AI to make a better ending to Succession. I started by asking for alternatives:

(I’m not sure how to do threading, so just replying to this post for the rest)

A selection of from my files. An asphalt drive and abandoned parking lot at a rest stop in W. Michigan, being reclaimed by Life.

I love it when that happens.
I like to help it along.
Resisting takes too much energy.

Further up the drive, wild grapes, creeping blackberries, and poison ivy grapple with grasses and forbs to colonize the asphalt.
Maples are totally colonizing the cracks in the cement curbs of the drive.

My favorite HBO Succession quotes this season….

“Ow. Don't criticize my jet interior. It hurts.”

“Three-point PR plan just off the top of my head. Point one. Might be hard for you, but stop sending people your blood.”

“Look. I think you're a corporate legend. What you did in the '90s with cable? Huge.”

stop sending people your blood.
What you did in the '90s with cable?

A single, supersized (90-minute) episode of "Succession" remains, and there's a lot to wrap up. Vanity Fair has identified all the burning questions and dangling plot threads, from whether Kendall's name was underlined or crossed out, to what happened to the cruise documents Greg didn't shred. And then there's the real point of it all: Who will run Waystar Royco? Add your thoughts to the comments!

WOW. Occasional Succession guest star James Cromwell (as Ewan Roy, Logan’s brother) showed up to the funeral, strong-armed his way onto the stage, and delivered a eulogy that shook everyone to their core— me included. He fucking NAILED Logan’s personal makeup.

Penultimate episode, Cromwell just shows back up like “actually, this is MY show” — totally badass

If Orwell were around today he’d be a Succession writer.

No, seriously. gave up on journalism to turn to allegory, because he thought fiction was more powerful and persuasive.
If he were alive now he’d be using the dominant media forms to do that fiction. He’d love the way moves its audience.

Tonight's spectacular and spectacularly stressful election eve was, like some of the later Sopranos and Breaking Bad episodes, the show reminding its audience what kind of characters they've been watching. Since wouldn't let me watch the latest episode of due to an inaccessible CAPTCHA, I ended up watching several episodes of the mini-series "The Last Thing He Told Me," starring Jennifer Garner on TV. Mystery build with strong female characters.

The opening theme of "Succession," with its dissonant chords, dramatic strings and 808 beats, has been an earworm since the show launched in 2018. Here, composer Nicholas Britell talks about how he wrote it.
