It's hard for Joe to get sensible advice because his Secretary of State is a genuine Zionist. Note that the State Department is about to mutiny, because Blinken is ready to eliminate the Palestinians that have been squatting on Israeli land for 2000 years. There should be no education tax credits or IRS deductions for K-12. Such credits only encourage rich people to take their children out of public schools and make taxpayers underwrite the expense. Nobody should be paid to take their kids out of public schools. The money should go to the public schools, not to people who pull their kids out of them.

Sad to see the academic community desert the old definition of "theory". None of this I read is a theory at all, rather a series of hypotheses and conjectures. Even Wikipedia agrees! "Assembly theory is a hypothesis that characterizes object complexity." It's a HYPOTHESIS! Critical race theory is another one that doesn't even resemble a theory. Decided to look up USA's next Speaker of the House. First thing I find is he's a staunch gun advocate for "the right to bear arms".

Then I look at his X, and I see him first of all making a strawman accusation that "the left is justifying" the Hamas attack (truth is we condemn the war crimes of Hamas, and do not condone the occupation).

I wasn't talking about taxing the producers, but the consumers. Put a substantial tax on jet fuel for private planes, eg, and even though billionaires really wouldn't care, the revenues would be huge. If they don't pay the tax, they don't fly, and nobody really cares if they don't. Commercial aircraft would pay far lower tax rates for fuel.

A guy I knew in Dallas went to the trial of his daughter's rapist, and after a not guilty verdict the rapist called for a party at a local bar. The father went to the bar, confronted the guy and asked him if he raped his daughter, and the answer was, "Yeah, but they can't try me again," at which point the father pulled out a gun and shot him dead on the spot, waited quietly for the police and pleaded guilty. Spent 20 months in jail. Said it was well worth it.

Yeah, let's call the Pope and ask for a double-strength prayer for world peace. So Israel is supposed to just go back to stealing the rest of the Palestinians' land and Hamas is supposed to just let them? Is that it? How about a call for Israel to withdraw to borders established in 1967 - or even 1949 - and Palestine declared a state with a seat in the UN? Stop calling them schools. They're juvenile Xian seminaries. The US public education system cannot recover until we get rid of private and religious schools entirely, forcing all students to attend public schools. This is the only action that would force the wealthy to support their local public school systems in order to provide their children with a decent education, barring sending them to Europe.

The idea that the wealthy/corporations would have more money to invest is a lie because they don't risk their own money to begin with, they create LLCs or issue more stock to borrow the money and the LLC declares bankruptcy when the idea fails.
