I have been programming since I was 12 (born in '73 #genx), currently enjoy coding in #Rust. I use Linux every day; I prefer open to closed. I try to live and let live when it comes to people's tech choices.

I work in tech but am learning how better to separate that from my passion for programming.

I used to podcast, I plan to again soon.

I practice #zazen, #qigong, and #taichi every day.

The paint crew should finish up today. Funny how quickly a job goes when the people doing it have the skills, tools, and knowledge to do it right.

It'll take a bit of DIY work to add in the missing pieces and some outsourcing to get the final details right. All things I feel qualified to do and for which I have help.

That's for future me to deal with while present me waits for the right time.

I'm experimenting with einkorn flour. Mostly it's just to see what it's like.

It's a process.

I can't buy it locally and have to order it shipped in. As a specialty flour, it's expensive. It looks and smells like normal flour.

Alone in bread resulted in dense, chewy loaves. I liked the taste, not the texture.

I'll try again.

A lesson for me. New knowledge about bread. About myself.

I hope you try something that didn't work the first time

A day to let the world just be.

For the first time all week, I have no chores. No tasks that need doing. No schedule to observe. No events to attend.

It's a good thing. I feel tired.

Even though I'm not painting the house myself, I found the prep work taxing.

It's all done now. There will be a lot of clean up and finishing touches to do later.

A future me problem.

I'll think about that tomorrow.
