Ich will in den naechsten Wochen nachlegen und dazu gehoeren u.a. auch RSS- und Medien-Reader. Ich stelle gerade Feedly auf Readwise Reader um, benutze parallel aber noch den Inoreader und Flipboard.

Wie sieht das bei euch aus? Wie kontrolliert ihr die Flut der Inhalte?

P.S. Bin inzwischen iPad Mini-Suechtel um zu lesen!

@pallenberg selbstgehostetes FreshRSS, jedes Device mit nem Reader der auf FreshRSS zugreift und synchronisiert. Auf iOS/iPadOS und MacOS nutz ich Reeder, auf Android FeedMe. Windows schau ich einfach in die FreshRSS Oberflรคche.

An andere Stelle hab ich nen Bot, der mit Nachrichten ausgewรคhlter Quellen (ohne RSS Unterstรผtzung) in nen Chat pusht, lediglich den Teaser, nichts KI oder รคhnliches.

Ansonsten: Weniger Quellen, weniger Flut

Reading this is nuts. Google changed its algorithm and websites are on the brink of death. This is what gatekeeping is doing.

Hate to see it, as Retro Dodo is one of my favorite websites. I read their articles almost every day. I got their book and backed/preordered the upcoming two which might never be released now.

If you are into Retrogaming or are interested in modern handhelds, consider bookmarking their website and supporting them.

@maxim They probably have some kind of automated keyword checking system in place. I just checked your descriptions, achievements and some other information on SteamDB. Aside from "mechatron" there isn't any hint that this game might have any robots in it. Should be enough, but who knows.

Just in case I added the community tag "robots", which might help you in the future.

what do we have to do to make the plugin attractive to more users? We are currently at 4000+ active users on WordPress.org + the WordPress.com users.

@pfefferle the one thing Iโ€™m missing is to have different post templates for different content types. Itโ€™s difficult to manage picture/video only content with the same template as blogposts.

Aside from that, is there a way to have more option to customize the visible profile? Name, URLs, Picture etc. no I need a third party plugin to upload a custom image if I donโ€™t want to use gravatar.

Never tested, but does audio publishing work with ActivityPub? Might be nice for podcasts.

Konnte noch nicht reinhรถren, mach es aber spรคter. Als jemand der gerade seit langem wieder in China ist, sind zwei Dinge besonders auffรคllig: die schiere Menge an E-Autos auf den StraรŸen ist verrรผckt, nicht nur in den Megametropolen, sondern auch den GroรŸstรคdten drum herum. Auffรคllig auch, wie wenig deutsche Autos sichtbar sind. Audis waren frรผher das Vorzeigeauto, alle weg. Deutsche E-Autos? Fehlanzeige. BYD und Co dominieren alles.

@pallenberg @DonDahlmann Tesla sieht man hier noch vergleichsweise selten. Heimische Marken dominieren das Bild, angefangen bei erwรคhnten BYDs, Pekinger Taxis kommen heut alle von der Marke Beijing (frรผher immer deutsche oder japanische Marken), aber auch etliche Klein und Kleinsthersteller schmeiรŸen E-Autos auf die StraรŸe. Es ist wirklich kunterbunt (und flรผsterleise). Vereinzelt brรผllt noch ein Porsche rum (welche ich gefรผhlt noch hรคufiger sehe als Teslas).

Traue mich ja schon gar nicht mehr ueber meine Zugreisen in zu berichten... das waere auch ein unfairer Vergleich gegenueber Laendern mit halbwegs entwickelter Infrastruktur.

Inzwischen ist es mir einfach egal. Ich habe mich damit abgefunden, dass ich nie(!) puenktlich bin und es von Hamburg nach Muenchen 6.5h dauert.

Das muss diese Deutschlandgeschwindigkeit sein, von der immer alle reden und die wird dem Land noch gehoerig auf die Fuesse fallen!

@pallenberg Strecke Bochum-Berlin: vergangene Woche war mein Zug 15 Minuten zu frรผh in Berlin. ๐Ÿคฃ Ich glaub das ist vorher noch nie passiert.

Das Traurige ist, dass die deutsche Bahn-Infrastruktur im Ausland noch einen recht guten Ruf hat, aber regelmรครŸig Menschen bei ihrer Ankunft hier im Land vollstรคndig desillusioniert. Schlechteste Werbung fรผr Deutschland ever und Bootcamp fรผr alles was im Anschluss folgt.

@mikey Windows is such a bloatware on modern handheld devices. I have a super fast Steamdeck and and slow ass Loki Premium. Itโ€™s such a pain to deactivate all these dedicated desktop functions that nobody need on a โ€œGaming Handheldโ€โ€ฆ Yes Gamepass and GoG are a thing, but every handheld manufacturer should seek a modern Linux solution like SteamOS or at least somehow support it.

@maxim Depends on the game. Some games I buy Day 1, full price or slightly discounted over HumbleBundle (latest examples: Sea of Stars, Armored Core VI or Street Fighter 6). Other games (AAA and Indie) sit on my Wishlist (currently around 300) and wait for a nice discount to be bought (โ€ฆand never get played ๐Ÿซ ). SteamDB historic lows or 2 years low decide if I buy a game. Than a bunch of Indiegames find the way in my library over HumbleBundle (Bundles or Choice).

Hey folks:

Any advice for cleaning a Game Boy cartridge that the Analogue Pocket is especially cranky about reading? I got it to load fine in an original GBC, and I know it's not a KO or anything. A couple rounds of alcohol swabbing doesn't seem to be cutting it, and I don't want to wreck it.

@trixter open the cartridge and clean the contacts with isopropyl alcohol. Works like a charm. I had the same issue with my SNES cartridges an the Super NT and the Analogue Pocket. After cleaning them they at whist as new.

Das WaPo Abo habe ich inzwischen gekuendigt. Die NYT reicht mir vollkommen um internationale News zu lesen. Die letzten Deutschen Abos waren Spiegel, Zeit und FAZ. Ebenfalls alle gekuendigt.

@pallenberg paar Seiten im RSS Abo via Reeder. AuรŸerdem folge ich hier auf Mastodon der Timeline von press.coop (Mit dem Client Icecubes kann man Lokale Timelines von Instanzen folgen). Gelegentlich surfe ich รผber paar deutsche Nachrichtenportale. Google News hab ich nie soweit personalisiert bekommen, das fรผr mich die relevanten Quellen und Themen alle gleichermaรŸen reinfliegen (Tech kunterbunt, Gaming, China allgemein, Deutsche Politik).

@maxim I bought more games on Stadia than on Epic Game Store (1). Everything else is Steam (around 1000) or GOG (around 100, only old games). I donโ€™t even have a PS4 but also own PS4 games.

Lรคnger kein Spiel mehr gepostet. Diesmal ist es aber wieder lohnenswert. Gerade Kena zu Ende gespielt. Ein hรผbsches und spielerisch gelungenes Action Adventure. Gutes Bott- und Leveldesign, angenehme Rรคtsel und Platforming-Sektionen.

Sauber designtes Spiel, nette Geschichte und hรผbsches Universum welches die Entwickler hier geschaffen haben.

Screenshot, zu Sehen Kena, umringt von kleinen Geistern und eine weitere Person schauen in die Entfernung. Zu sehen ist ein Turm und die See.
