I have no idea what kind of traction it will get, but as a person who uses both #Python and #Swift regularly, #Mojo sounds pretty great.
I can’t help but notice that the core idea of “allow mixing high-performance compiled code with easy-to-read-and-maintain logic/glue code” is close to how @rasmus describes early #PHP (where he expected the heavy lifting to happen in compiled space, but wanted to do the “easier” parts in a friendlier dialect/environment).
When programming in #Laravel and doing Laravel specific things, Laravel Idea (https://laravel-idea.com) is a clear winner to me. CoPilot seemed a bit haphazard in its suggestions. I've not tried copilot for actually generating non-laravel specific code stuff. That is up next!
@michael I do subscribe to Laravel Idea. Paying for CoPilot is where I am on the fence. I sometimes use ChatGPT to get direction if I am really stuck. Tried ChatGPT4 and didn't find a huge different in the results for what I was looking for. Needs more testing.
Is there a built-in way to to partial resolution from the container in #Laravel?
I have a class that takes a model and then a few service classes. The model obviously isn't resolvable from the container, but the rest of the services are.
I need some help trying to figure out what kind of attack is happening with my host. I have a single ubuntu server with some wordpress apps, bookstack, roundcube, and tautulli. I've noticed recently that a bunch of "index.php" files have been added to sites in "upload" folders, and that what appears to be system files for the web apps being modified.
@ryan change all passwords, including ftp, MySQL, cpanel and such. Remove accounts from cpanel that you don’t need. And reupload your site/apps from known good copies.
🚨 Breaking news: A researcher (neskafe3v1) hijacked 14 popular #Packagist#PHP packages to get a job! 😲 With one of them reaching 500M+ installs, it's a bold move, to say the least. Does this display creativity or recklessness? 🤔 Let's discuss! 💬 #InfoSec#JobHunt#CodingEthics
@victor He did it to get a job and did no real harm to anyone. The Packagist maintainers closed a possible way to take over packages. It could have been a criminal taking over. From an ethical standpoint, it's probably the greyest grey-zone.
W00t! Final two modules in my CSRF section are out: CORS and SameSite Cookies! 😎🥳
Next up will be the SQL Injection attack module, which means includes more challenges to test your hacking skills. 🥷 https://practicallaravelsecurity.com#PHP#Laravel
