Nice photo of our volunteers who organized the Riemer parkrun yesterday!

The Abflug (meaning departures) sign, a remnant of the old Munich-Riem airport, has been renovated and cleaned up after many years of tagging.

I haven't yet been to see it myself at night, but a friend of mine took a photo. It's shining :)

Yesterday was Theresa's 100th time as volunteer and Maren's first time as Run Director!

Today was our 151st parkrun at Riemer park. I was tailwalker and I reached 2 milestones: 100 volunteering and 50 running/walking (since june 2019). This was my 132nd participation in a parkrun There were 66 participants including visitors from the UK and 5 very first timers.

Next week I will visit Westpark parkrun for their 200th parkrun!

Well I've officially started training for a in the spring. I don't know if I'm actually going to do it yet, but I'm going to spend the winter training like I will do it. And then I will make the go/no-go decision before the race deadline.

The last race I did was a in 2021, a week before my grandfather passed. I was already signed up for another one but didn't have the motivation to run it after that. So I've done a 5k, now I'm skipping 10k and half marathon and going straight to 25k for my second ever race 😆

Ha ha merci à tous pour votre soutien, les amis! Ça fait chaud au cœur! Donc voilà, objectif rempli. La course de 5km s’est bien déroulée (Strava a arrondi bizarrement), le beau temps a été au rendez-vous et l’organisation par les foulées seyssoises était au top: totem, bandas, musique, bénévoles. C’était ma première course en 20 ans, quelles belles retrouvailles.

Bonjour les Mastonautes. Aujourd'hui, c'est jour de course, le modeste 5km que je prépare depuis deux semaines. Je n'y vais pas pour faire un chrono (je suis trop lent), ni pour terminer (c'est normalement largement dans mes cordes vues mes distances d'entraînement les plus récentes) mais juste pour le plaisir de la foule et de l'événement.
On s'en reparle tout à l'heure? 🙂 Je termine mon 2e cafe ☕ en pensant à vous, les amis!

Hello les Mastonautes. Rien n’allait dans la course du jour. Rien. Vent, pluie, boue, manque de souffle, pas de photo de mes chemins de course, juste ma bouille qui souffre sur le chemin du retour, en mode récupération lente. Le plus inquiétant est que ma course de 5 km a lieu dimanche. Ça promet.

I feel good about today but that's a leg throb that's gonna persist for a while.

Anyways, I'm now running a 30 minute every day and I'm very proud of that.

Fun fact: That first dip in the pace chart is the sting.

Just ran a treadmill 5km in 41’ 50” - 30 seconds off my PB, darn it! First time I have successfully run 5km in a couple of months. It was a progression run, so I pushed the pace a little each km (I did start very slowly!), then cooled down by walking 300m before doing a post-run stretch. Rest day tomorrow, then a 4km easy run on Sunday. It will be nice to run somewhere new (the Quarry park in Shrewsbury)
