Cars are bad for the environment - internal combustion engine cars especially so. Digging deeper, diesels, and, worst, old diesels.
Let's get diesel cars off the roads:
Ban sales of diesels manufactured from today. This is low-hanging fruit.
" Bring in a ramping yearly tax on diesels starting with >8 years old paying, say, €1000. Next year €2000 and for >6y.o. >€1000. And so on. Also ramp up tax / litre at the pumps.

Man erinnere sich an #DieselGate und dem #ThermoFenster, wonach in dieser Jahreszeit die Abgasreinigungen "zum Wohle des Motors" deaktiviert werden. Also werden jetzt mehr Schadstoffe ausgestoßen als im Sommer. Aufmerksame Nasen können es riechen.

This #Tesla#Dieselgate and the "diversion team" that was set up for purely with the intent of misleading and punishing customers who had bought a Tesla car luckily proves that you can't just throw 💸 at Musk to get the psychopath billionaire to care about you.

The only reason I would have ever bought a Tesla Pre-Twitter, R.I.P. was the phenomenonal driving range.

Remember #Dieselgate? #Volkswagen created a line of demon-haunted cars: if they thought they were being scrutinized (by regulators measuring emissions), they switched into a mode that traded performance for low emissions. But when they believed themselves to be unobserved, they reversed this, emitting deadly levels of NOX but delivering superior mileage.

#Dieselgate war übrigens ein Schlüsselmoment für meine Politisierung. Vorher wollte ich einfach nur Ingenieur werden, aber diese korrupte Art zu regieren zeigte mir, dass ich als Ingenieur nicht einfach Gutes tun kann, wenn der Staat in Korruption versagt.
Innovation und Entwicklung brauchen verlässliche Rahmenbedingungen und damit auch Regeln, sonst gewinnen Betrüger und schaden den Ehrlichen.

@mr_huffle mir war klar, dass das alles grandios vor die Wand fährt, wenn man die hierarchische Führungsstruktur (man schaue sich an wie diese in #Dieselgate dazugeführt hat, dass die Ingenieure quasi gezwungen wurden, zu pfuschen) und agile Softwareentwicklung unter einen Hut zu bringen. Das nennen die dann SAFE und ist (überwiegend) das Schlechteste aus beiden Welten.
