It's been more than half a year without a maintainer response to this suggestion to require servers to block known abuse origins in order to be listed on https://joinmastodon.org/:

Something that bugs me a little bit about is that, of course, Mastodon users especially can get easily overwhelmed by the long posts I sometimes make with it due to the higher length limits.

So, how about following Tumblr's lead and introducing a "Read more" button? (NOT the CW/summary: it doesn't support markup, i.e. mentions and hashtags.) It would present a link that supporting clients can render to open the post in a full page or letterbox, and other clients can just link to it.

Bon j’arrête mes tentatives d'install aussi ... rien qui fonctionne, le git (codeberg) met 5min à répondre a un git clone, les tickets sont fermé ... c'est un peu très mal gérer leur histoire, un canal matrix c'est pas fait pour du support donc non merci ...

Bref le machin arrive pas build ... bref ... pas de Firefish pour le moment.
