I knew that IMDb had been around a long time but TIL it predates the World Wide Web, as it was initially launched as Usenet group rec.arts.movies in 1990 and moved to the web in 1993. And it's been owned by Amazon since 1998, because of course it has 🙄
What series of bad decisions ended up with #imdb syndicating articles on how to play #minecraft (and it showing up as the featured result in a google search)?
#IMDB is far from accurate - for those of you who haven't worked in film. I don't have over 16 work credits listed. This is the listing they have for me. It doesn't even include over half of the film productions that I worked on in my 10+ yrs in film industry.
It also doesn't even credit me properly in Jackhammer. I worked 3 different crew roles & only got party piglet extras credit. I worked on a feature sci-fi by a now bankrupt film company & never got credit for that. I pretty much worked hard for over a decade & barely got anything from it. I don't regret leaving the exploitive film industry.
#Help me? TV series. I can't find the name (you know why, of course 😉 )
In the series, someone I don't think is a real cop, or detective, but is called in to help solve crime. He comes by in regular clothes, looks at the crime scene and sees it in his head "The killer was here. He pushed the person against that wall, they fell here in that spot" almost like a cross between Dexter and The Mentalist, with a touch of Columbo?
@KayseeColorado OH, I will, and once written down, I won't forget again (well, maybe in the afternoon, when I become scatterbrained daily)
I'll fine-tune my google searches. I scrolled down 500 so far on IMDB and never came close yet. Maybe it's Canadian? No one knows Canada makes their own TV shows? 😎 but, we do 🇨🇦, eh! 😂
