In my opinion the Olympia Food Co-op has to be one of the best co-ops in existence.

I’m so tired of the cold mornings we’re getting in right now. But my partner was kind enough to remind me we actually got snow a year ago, so…

I love finding native to the ladybugs in my yard! I’ve seen at least one in my yard every year since I planted my olive tree.

Hey, , why are there roving bands of middle aged people dressed up and on a scavenger hunt or some shit all over town this morning? I have seen two groups with a Grease theme, some pirates, sportsballers, gold chain people… I’m so confused.

Cities cite a small loophole to invalidate a law requiring them to allow homeless shelters.

These same cities rallied against pro housing bills in the last legislative session, citing local control

For all the criticism cities like Seattle and Olympia get for being havens for homeless, the more it seems like they're just doing the absolute minimum because the average is absolutely barbaric

Setting the record straight on the “origin story” of the dam and the mistaken notion it was done to create a “reflecting” pool for the Capitol is helpful. Good reminder that it was for done for specific commercial interest at the time not for creating a majestic feature of the Capitol campus. Much opposition to taking the dam out is also from specific commercial interests.
