#HungerStrike4Palestine solidarity action in support of human rights for Palestinians.
They stayed behind with me & few other event volunteers to watch gear & give info to late arrivals.
Heading home now. Good #solidarity protest for #ceasefire for #Palestine in #VictoriaBC today.
Enjoyed chatting with some younger disabled activists who approached me at rally
Spot the bald eagle that soared over the protest site, just when opening ceremonies started. Natural, divine timing - I pay attention to symbolism from nature's beings.
This lovely disabled young woman wheeled over to me, asked to take my photo & I took one of her too. It was nice to see several fellow #disabled#activists out there today ❤️🍉☮️
I departed from the march back to front of legislature because my legs were done. While sitting on ledge, 2 friends in crowd spotted me & we got a reunion pic.
I unmasked for quick pic & put it back on after.
They're Mom & daughter. I took both to Fairy Creek blockade to try to stop old growth logging. I consider them both, part of my chosen non-blood family.
"The level of violence displayed in Berlin in the last few weeks cannot be explained merely as a reaction to the break out of Gaza. Students can be slapped by a teacher in school, people are facing brutal police violence in the streets, and demonstrations are systematically banned. Although anti-Semitism finds its greatest expressions in this territory, and we see it as our responsibility to fight the multiple expressions of white christian supremacy – be it Aiwagner, AFD, Reichsbürger or others – the German state deflects attention from this by accusing others. The idea of imported anti-Semitism is and remains a way for Germany to find a new demon of history and to push anti-Semitism from itself to Palestine in a historically revisionist way. The results are evident today. With the usual racist agitation, by constructing the idea that Palestinians are anti-Semitic by nature, the German state is trying to divide our class along ethnic and religious lines, as a smokescreen for the division between us and the gun-grabbers who are currently earning a lot of money from Rheinmetall shares.

The Berliner Sparkasse bank froze the account of the anti-Zionist Jewish Voice for a Just Peace & asked it to submit a list of members with full names & addresses.
It's a question that might be asked by an intelligence service or police, the group said.
The Jewish Voice's previous account with Bank for Social Economy was closed in 2019 because of its support for the #BDS Movement.
