But the only #Picard nude scene I remember was when he was being tortured by Cardassians. And he was upside down and shit (and probably a body double).

Struggling through season 3 of #Picard on the advice of someone who said to skip season 2 because it was crap. They said season 3 was a return to form, which begs the question of how bad season 2 actually was, because season 3 is... Not Good imo. They appear to have Kirk-ized Picard & Riker so they're both full of piss, vinegar, too much testosterone & too few brain cells. 🤨
Reminded once again that as a #TNG fan, #LowerDecks is closer to "my #StarTrek" than the new TNG-based stuff is.

Wanted you to know how much I admire you and all you have done in creating and extending the #StarTrek universe through #Seven. I can't say how much Seven's recent journeys have affected me. Thanks for that!

First season of Picard in the bag. First three episodes of Discovery season 1 in the bag.
I did not think for a moment that Discovery could meet or surpass the bar that Picard set for me, but holy hell, these new Star Trek shows are everything I could possibly want in a continuation (and prequel-ing) of what came before.
I don't have Paramount+ yet, but checked these out of my local library. I think, though, these may have convinced me to break my golden rule and begrudgingly subscribe to yet another damn streaming service.
"Alte" #startrek Serien wie Voyager, Deep Space Nine oder Next Generation schneiden Folge für Folge spannende Themen an, nehmen sich Zeit, Charaktere zu zeichnen und sind für mich Star Trek auf hohem Niveau.
Im Vergleich dazu kacken aktuelle Produktionen wie Discovery oder Picard leider (in meinen Augen) voll ab. Sorry to say ... es mag für manche unterhaltsam sein, mag einigen auch gefallen - aber ich tue mich schon sehr schwer damit.
Umso mehr freue ich mich, dass #StrangeNewWorlds wieder vieles richtig macht. Ja, immer wieder ein Auf und Ab, nicht jede Folge ein absolutes Highlight - aber ehrlicherweise war das bei den alten Serien auch nicht anders ;-)
So - das musste mal gesagt werden, weil ich jetzt wieder gemütlich 1 - 2 Folgen Voyager genieße ("Gegen das Vergessen" aktuell gerade)
@renice#Discovery is red team. #DS9 is the beleaguered #neteng that keeps getting told there's no funding for a dedicated blue team. Except sometimes #section31 comes along claiming to be blue team, but they're really a bunch of self-motivated charcoal-hat cowboy coders on shadow projects. You're pretty sure most of them couldn't pass the company code of conduct policy tests. There's a persistent rumor they're going to get formally recognized as a skill team any quarter now.
#Voyager is that startup that never quite lands their IPO, and keeps having to seek new sources of VC funding along the way. They keep picking up new people, and the old hands can barely remember what it was like before seven years of 24/7 crunch time.
#Prodigy is that code #bootcamp that gets away with not charging for their services because the parent company accidentally bundled them with a datacenter's electric bill, where they're just noise in the budget.
#Picard is the local #Solaris users group that's all gung-ho about #Illumos. They've got some good points and originated some iconic features, but they're principally about nostalgia these days.
#tos is the retrocomputing club. Spectrum Sinclairs and Altairs line the walls, but are mostly for show. Someone converted an old IBM POWER workstation into a #Hackintosh so they could show Kid Pix to the kids. Everybody else spends their time showing off their DOS savegame files on the club's file server. One guy is playing DOOM in the corner with the music coming from an external Roland MIDI keyboard. Another guy figured out how to launch old DOS door games under containerized #dosemu instances via inetd, but people stopped talking to him once he solved the sandbox escape problem by having systemd launch the containers on-demand in a deprivileged chroot.
#StrangeNewWorlds is the club founded by that guy from the retrocomputing club that got DOS door games running via systemd; Now he's porting his door game collection to run in #webassembly, and has managed to reach a new generation of people respinning the classics.
#Enterprise is the #beos users group. Really a subgroup of the local retrocomputing club. They hate it, because people keep confusing their interests with Mac OS Classic and Linux.

Well, that Trill doctor couldn't tell deferred internal bleeding and relied on earlier scans when #Shaw couldn't breathe...so I'd say Bev had reason to take over... 😳
