The “unified reich” comment from a presidential candidate is worrisome. But the upside down flag AND the “Appeal to Heaven” flag from a member in the highest US court means Americans don’t have to worry about fascism. It’s already here, just not quite center stage.
What to do? Wait until the abusers admit they’re abusing? For the liars to be truthful about lying? Cooler heads prevailing?

Also known as the Pine Tree flag, it dates back to the Revolutionary War, but largely fell into obscurity until recent years and is now a symbol of support for former President Donald J. Trump, for a religious strand of the “Stop the Steal” campaign and for a push to remake American government in Christian terms.
Remember, DoJ asked SCOTUS to take the case and it declined—saying he had to go to the appellate court first. You could argue that was “ordinary,” if gratuitous.
Then the appellate court issued a unanimous—airtight—decision. Standard practice would’ve been for SCOTUS to let it stand a matter of days after being asked to do so.
Instead, it waited weeks to declare it would—unnecessarily—take the case, then scheduled argument for April.
That’s 100% delaying the case for the criminal defendant who is charged with the most serious crimes against the United States of America.
And now we see Alito was signaling support for the insurrection.
#Judges are not supposed to give any impression of #bias, yet the #flag could be seen as telegraphing #Alito’s views….“We all have our biases, but the good judge fights against them,” said Charles Geyh, a #law prof at IU. “When a judge celebrates his predispositions by hoisting them on a flag…that’s deeply disturbing.”
Records show that the Alitos have owned the beach house since 2014, & he is a well-known presence in the waterfront community. Residents…recalled seeing the justice last summer….
#Republican members of #Congress & state ofcls have displayed the #flag as well, among them #DougMastriano, a PA state senator & a leader of the “Stop the Steal” campaign. The highest-ranking elected ofcl known to show the flag is Rep #MikeJohnson, who hung it at his office last fall shortly after becoming #speaker of the #House.
Dems should state LOUDLY that if elected they will bring a Corruption Bill where a justice having been impeached, is found to have in the past with no statute of limitations, not recused themselves when they had a clear conflict of interest such as say, heard a case involving Jan 6 as a conspirator themselves, that they be found guilty of treason and corruption, such felony carrying the ultimate sanction, they having broken their solemn oath to the people. #SCOTUS
