In order to combat skepticism, we should understand where it originates.

An medical anthropologist listened to find where the attitudes came from: “The perceptions mothers share are far from isolated or fringe, and they are not unreasonable. Rather, they represent a growing population of Americans who hold the pervasive belief that U.S. health care harms more than it helps.”

COVID vaccination mandates and personal freedoms.

“The problem with the personal freedom argument was that there was nothing personal about getting a COVID vaccine. First, people who had been vaccinated shed less infectious virus when they get COVID compared with those who hadn’t been vaccinated. Second, people who had been vaccinated were less likely to transmit the virus to others.

The next generation of #mRNAvaccines is on its way
Japan recently approved a new #mRNA #vaccine for #covid. And this one is pretty exciting. Just like the mRNA v#accines you know and love, it delivers the instructions for making the #virus’s #spikeprotein. But here’s what makes it novel: it also tells the body how to make more mRNA. Essentially, it provides instructions for making more instructions. It’s self-amplifying.

Rabies is rare in humans in the U.S., averaging one to 3 cases per year, but this disease causes tens of thousands of deaths worldwide annually.

However rabies is 100% vaccine-preventable, which is super helpful since there’s no proven treatment for rabies.

Misinformation and disinformation about vaccines alone have cost the U.S. economy an estimated $50 million to $300 million per day in direct costs from hospitalizations, long-term illness, lives lost and economic losses from missed work.

Examine author credentials, weigh scientific evidence over individual anecdotes and remember: when in doubt, don’t share the information.
