One of eight stones in the Leaf Trail in Victoria Park in Glasgow. Each one features a poem about a species of tree which relates to a letter in the Gaelic alphabet and were created by Colin McLeod and his colleagues at GalGael in Govan.

A swan at sunrise on the partially frozen Victoria Park Pond in the west of Glasgow. This was taken yesterday when, unlike today, the sun actually managed to make its presence felt in the city.
Victoria Park Clock in the west of Glasgow. Made from cast iron, it was created by Alexander ans Son, and was donated by William Gordon Oswald. The surrounding park was created in the 1880s on land given to the Burgh of Partick by James Gordon Oswald of Scotstoun (William's father). It was formerly part of the Scotstoun Estate.
The green part of this oak leaf didn’t get the “autumn memo” because of the activity of Ectoedemia heringi leaf miners.
The miner blocks off the chlorophyll return valves in the leaf with the help of some bacteria, extending the growing season for the larva 🐛
