"Basauti" by Korrontzi from Basque Country. The song is an hommage to the women who work on the land. I like the dances also.

Spent the past few hours recording Bongo Cajon and a 12 inch frame drum with some Audix drum mics. D6 and i5 I think. Went into the Zoom H6 as an interface to Live.

People go "dont use the Zoom, its noisy!!" Not for percussion and drums! Or in fact anything loud. If I was doing superclean vocals etc I'd use an external pre.

Will upload to one of my Soundclouds soon.

Put some synth drone over it too, and gated it to all the percussion sounds..

This is very loose sounding. I havent played or recorded percussion much in recent years.

We are three [ of the ethnic group from the Mountains in Province, southwest . Although we are in our 20s, we look like children, with big dreams in our small bodies. We love and have transformed our rural house into a cozy small home, recording life in the countryside.]

Folks in or near Providence, Rhode Island:

FirstWorks, (the arts nonprofit that Rainy works for) is producing an amazing show in March. Small Island Big Song is a multimedia concert by indigenous musicians confronting climate change, taking place at The Strand Ballroom and Theatre in Providence on Friday, March 15, 7:30 PM.

ABOUT SMALL ISLAND BIG SONG

Experience a transcendent musical journey combining song, spoken word and cinematic visuals filmed over a three-year voyage across 16 island nations.

The musicians in Small Island Big Song would tell you that the ocean does not divide their island homes — it connects them. In this inspiring multimedia concert confronting climate change, renowned First Nation artists from across the Pacific and Indian Oceans unite to blend traditions and create music celebrating the ways we are all connected. From irresistible oceanic grooves to soulful island ballads, the result is a breathtakingly beautiful sound made by those who sing for the seas.

Beautiful cinematography and incredible music … one coherent, jaw-dropping piece.’’

A Multicultural Song
'Soledad Nórdica' is a classical art song inspired by popular Spanish dances and records of both early flamenco music and Danish folk music. Spanish and Danish cultures are intertwined in a song that is neither exclusively Spanish nor Danish, but rather a fusion of both.

There's something really special about the of the Forest Peoples of Central . Also called Pygmies, Baka, Aka, Mbuti, they are a hunter-gatherer that is often unrecognised and dispossessed of lands/rights by the countries they live in. Culturally, they may be a distant glimpse into our collective past.
