#LaBoca is a district in #BuenosAires that claims to be the originating place of #Tango. It is a colorful tourist spot with many cafes and shops; and of course, tango music and lessons.
As a #Monet admirer I went to see his property at Giverny which has been well maintained as a visitor park. You can easily see why he was inspired to live and paint here.
This park is in a sleepy Spanish town along the way from Santiago de Compostela and Lamego, Portugal. The river Arnoia has recently flooded due to unusually heavy rainfall, but the local citizenry have been quick to restore this local treasure.
I walked a portion of the #CaminoDeSantiago in the lower Pyrenees #Mountains through mist with broken sunlight. One of the most beautiful forests I've experienced during my travels.
This ancient city was commercially developed in the first century by colonial #Roman olive producers. By the end of the 4th century it had separated from the #RomanEmpire and collapsed, perhaps by earthquake; abandoned in the 11th century after it became a Muslim dynastic center.
This is a gem of a museum with a genuine throwback to another age. I enjoy wandering through the exhibits admiring the vast collection of #skeletons from around the world.
The #AnnenbergEstate, built in 1966, was a winter retreat for media mogul Walter #Annenberg. It hosted many world leaders and celebrities over the years. Now it is open to the public to visit the spectacular home and gardens.
