Somewhere I have my grandfather's old hand calculator. It is very thin and does basic addition and subtraction in arabic numerals using sliders that you actuate with the tip of a pencil.
Literally me when people #ask me why I use #Linux (also happens to me with other #opensource software) and why do I work with it if "no one uses Linux" 😂
I'll be flying to Belgium on Wednesday to spend some time with family and relatives. I won't have time to really read but it would be nice to have something relaxing for the 3 hour flight and to escape for a bit from time to time 😀 .

For sure. I wish more governments, municipalities, and services were somewhere other than Twitter. I know it is in the geeky end, but the fact that you can easily pull an RSS feed and then use some IFTTT magic to trigger notifications and such…the Mastodon feed has so much more utility.
Is there an app or service for meeting new people, that isn't hostile and/or won't sell my cell phone number out to spammers IMMEDIATELY after signing up (ahem most of the dating apps will do this).
I fucking HATE this trend of naming all these new social media sites such GENERIC bullshit names.

I'm struggling now to find an amazing thread detailing the history of Elon's "X.com" project from 1999 to today, simply because all the terms I use like "elon musk x.com thread mastodon" give me generic, news crap.
